Chapter 106 - Flashback Utopia (Part 9)

The 25 Orbs came back after their work was completed. The feeling one got was that they were very happy to destroy the entire set up of this awful experiment. The Orbs were conveying something to the Orbs of Mono's grandfather and father. This telepathic conversation went on for about 15-20 minutes. Mono was not looking pleased.

After the Orbs had finished, Luke looked at Mono and raised his eyebrows in a questioning manner.

Mono replied that the Orbs had told him something very disturbing. Actually, Town L had finalized the Time Machine experiment and they were doing trial runs by trying to send inanimate things from one telephone booth to the other. At first, they sent the plate and cup. The experiment went through but the writing below the cup and plate came in reverse manner as if it was a mirror image. Meaning that the cup and plate atoms were energized but they did not reassemble properly but as the mirror image of the cup and plate. Thank God they did not put the two together otherwise the atoms of the cup and plate would have got mixed up and who knows there would have been a half plate attached to half a cup or something.

They did some corrections and tried to send a few plants, as a single leaf, then flower(s), then the whole plant. These things disappeared and reassembled in the receptive telephone booth without any issue. The scientists were happy so they now wanted to try sending animals across. At first, they sent a mouse which did not reassemble. A squeak was heard in the air as mouse atoms dispersed in the air. Then a cat was sent. But even the cat did not reassemble. A meow was heard as the cat atoms dispersed in the atmosphere. This had upset the scientists. These animals had a life too.

The Administrator had come once and was very angry with the setback in the experiment. He got hold of one of the scientists and pushed him into the energizing telephone booth. The scientist did not reassemble in the receptive telephone booth. Everyone was shocked. The Administrator wanted to avoid being blamed. To avoid criticism and being labeled as a killer, he got rid of the entire Time Machine experiment at Town L. Now no one goes there so we have to be very careful when we reach Town L.

Mono called everyone to proceed to the Jail area. The Orbs from Town K lead the way as they knew the shortest route to the Jail and also their way around Town K. The rest of the Orbs keep us covered. The innocent scientists who had protested the experiment were jailed here as well as those persons who had protested against the wrong policies of the Administrator and his cronies. Town K 's local government was similar to that at Town M but on a lower scale just like it was at Town I and Town J.

They soon reached the Jail and the Orbs surrounded the gate. As if by magic, all the locks opened as soon as the Orbs had surrounded the gate. It seemed as if they caused some vibrations for the locks to open. Apparently, the Orbs had done something to the lock with their laser-like light. Upon entering the jail, they first went to the reception area and found the records. Here they quickly identified the records of 30 scientists, who had been arrested quite some time back for refusing to work on the Time Machine experiment. They also located the records of the 15 political prisoners. The Orbs did a memory scan of the lists of scientists and the political prisoners and thereafter destroyed the entire records. All the attendants there were statues and were not aware of anything that was happening.

The Orbs split into five groups. One group remained to surround them, another group floated to the compound of the 30 scientists. The third group moved to the compound that lodged the 25 political prisoners. The fourth group remained at the reception and the fifth bigger group moved to the local administrator's building which housed the local administrator and his cronies. The Local Administrator and his cronies were in office as it still morning time.

All the scientists were frozen like statues/ practically immobile in their respective positions. The Orb of Mono's Dad held a thin lit torch stick like apparatus in front of the scientists The scientists were hypnotized with this lit torch and were asked to walk out of the jail with instructions to go home. They would be contacted by someone named Mono within a short while. They were not to go anywhere else.

The grandfather's Orb of Mono held a similar thin lit torch in front of the 15 political prisoners and they were asked to slowly move out of jail and continue to walk to their homes. They were to remain in their homes till someone by the name of Mono contacted them. They were not to go anywhere or have any contact with anyone for a week. Since their benefactors had their names and addressed as well as phone numbers, they would be contacted shortly.

The released scientists and the released political prisoners left for their respective homes. As they had been hypnotized, they managed to walk but became statues as soon as they entered their homes.

The fifth group made of Orbs made their way to the local Administrator's office. Here another Orb held a similar thin lit torch like apparatus and hypnotized the local Administrator and his colleagues. They were asked to head for the jail. This was a convenient way to move everyone as carrying them would have taken a long time.

They followed the directions of the Orb and made their way to the jail and entered the 'political prisoners' compound of the jail. As soon as the local Administrator and his cronies landed up in their cells, they became statues. The gates closed behind the new prisoners. New records with names and other details were created by the fourth group of Orbs at the reception and these were kept in the reception area as the new records.
