I woke up in the sofa one summer morning. I saw the television news about drug addicts getting caught. Juliannna, who was just finished making breakfast, said, "Oh dear, so many news about these. When will these kind of news ever end? I answered while yawning, "If there are no more drug addicts, society will still crumble. It's because drugs aren't the only root of crime here.". She nodded, "Well, you're right about that, but still there will be some changes in the news for good.". She laughed and went to her room. When I got up after watching the news, I saw her casually dressed and wearing a backpack. She said, "Oh, I'm going back to the city. My mom needs me for whatever reasons now. I'll be back soon, dear brother, maybe this Christmas.". I nodded and waved her goodbye. When I was seeing her took off, James came to visit again. He had a folder with him, and said, "Bro, need your help again.".
We sat down on the sofa while pulling the table near. He then opened the folder and put five different drawings on the table. The drawings were of a broken wine glass with a glass- shaped piece of ice at the center, a cat watching a tiger swim, a lazy ant running near his fellow working ants, and a kid playing near an old, leafless tree. The fifth one was just a piece of blank paper with a big dot at its center. After looking at each one, I said, "The broken glass is one's heart, and the ice is his mind. When the ice melted before the glass broke, the water would spill after the glass was shattered. So it's not always the heart that is cold, but a cold mind is colder. A cat doesn't like swimming, but a tiger can swim in rivers. Since a tiger is considered as 'big cat', we can say that not all cats doesn't swim. It's just that people are too scared to 'swim', but a 'big'- or rather 'brave' person would try. All ants are hardworking, but there are cases of lazy ants. But the colony doesn't exile or ban them. Just lile the society, there are lazy people. In a classroom, there's always a lazy student, but the school doesn't kick him out. It's because when a lazy person, or ant, is kicked out, another one will become lazy. So they will just lose a hardworking person, or ant, while the number of lazy ones is the same.". James agreed and said, "Nice, now there are two left, then I'll be going.".
I took a long breath and spoke once again, "The kid loves playing near the tree, by looking at his face. Even though the tree is old and leafless, the kid still plays near it. Just because something, or someone, is old, doesn't mean you can't spend your time happily with it, or him, or her. And lastly, the big dot is but an diversion. I think you know the lesson behind the paper with a tiny dot in its center, so this one's similiar, but you can hardly notice the blank part of the paper. So even a heavily shaded person has a 'blank' part of it. It's just that we hardly notice it due to the big 'dot' on it. It's up to the person whether he will keep the 'dot' or remove it so that the 'blank' part would once again be noticeable.". James then nodded and said, "Thanks again Bro, for helping me, again.". He laughed and left the house, whispered under his breath,
"The teacher once again gave his lessons for the day.".
