Tom Miller lay seated in his office, puffing smoke from his favorite cigarette. His hands behind his head. He stare with cold eyes unto the ceiling above. All he could see was the wooden ceiling and hopelessness. It's been a week since the strange lights appeared all across Germany's border, and reports came rushing in. It bare one notice, Germany is surrounded by seas, or the vast ocean as might say.
The entire building lay dead silent. They can't feel nor think anything anymore, only a pinch of hot burning sensation from the sunlight that passed through the dark room. Dark gloomy aura could be felt inside.
Couldn't bear the silence anymore, one of Tom's buddies break the silence, "How bout we hear some music eh? I have some Managua Nicaragua by Freddy Martin and Hi-" before finishing, Tom interrupted.
"His Orchestra? Yea I don't like that song."
Hearing this, Dicky frowned, "Then what will cheer the damn out of you all? We don't know the hell is going on. Until we figure it out, I reckon we stay motivated. The state we're in, I tell ya it could be worse."
"Yea it could be better to if we didn't left stranded here on a crippled fucking nation surrounded by the fucking ocean for goodness sake!" Johnson could not bear Dicky mumbling.
Then silenced filled the building again. To be honest, this silence is bliss.
After a long while of silence, Dicky again mumbled. "At least there is no more fucking fighting anymore! Peace is good as it is."
"Good? You call this good? Look at the state we're-"
Before Johnson could finish, suddenly the major came rushing in. "Attention! Boys, I got some news to tell you. The Russians just reported that an unidentified plane that came from the ocean landed under their noses."
"Goddamn." Dicky muttered.
"What proves that this mysterious plane was not one of ours or one we know off?" Johnson asked.
"After the pilot bailed out, he mercilessly shot a women and children, cut their hair off from their dead bodies."
"Jesus Christ." Tom exclaimed. Others who heard this too was shocked.
"The pilot then opened fire at the Russian troops so he was shot dead immediately. On the body, they found notes with strange alphabets, some sort of crest we not know off, and a photograph that was taken by some sort of old type camera." The major continued.
"God, don't tell me there's another war!" Johnson cried.
"Considering the state we're in, there might be another war on the horizon." The major replied.
The men went on a depressed look as they try to calm themselves. Their hands holding their head, mumbling while walking in a circle thinking what to do.
"Oh yes, the Russian said that they are already rearming troops, and we should start rearming as soon as possible." The major announced.
The men agreed in unison.
"So what are your orders sir?" Tom asked.
"We start by patroling our waters, I want someone trusted to lead the Kriegsmarine out. I do not want a sudden invasion from the unknown. So, anyone up for the job?"
Nobody responded. It was a sudden request, so it took time to think.
"How bout you Johnson?" The major asked randomly.
Hearing this, Johnson's voice became much heavier, he was on a cold sweat. "I'm not up for the job sir, I swear, I do not know shit about sailing a ship."
"Then I'll do it sir."
"Tom? Are you sure?" the major asked, his eyes were sharp staring at Tom.
"Well it depends on what will I face later in the sea. If I met some unfriendly foes, I might as well die."
"What made you think like that boy?" The major asked coldly.
"Yea, what will I defend the ship with? Men with rifles fighting off a fleet of God knows what? They have planes sir, I bet they must have steel ships too. Germany has no goddamn battleship left. Mounting a howitzer won't-" Before Tom could finish, the major interrupted.
"Who says you're goin with a small ship? You're goin with a U-Boat. It can travel at longer distances, besides, if they showed up, just go underwater."
"Oh." Tom rendered speechless.
"Then what are we going to do sir?" Ol'Langley asked.
"Well, in short, we prepare ourselves. Announce it to the people, Rearm troops, remobilize vehicles, rebuild factories, appoint agencies, organize and redirect fuel and supplies, what else?" The major said with a smile.
"Goddamn, that's a lot of administrative work." Johnson protested.

Sokolovsky was having a headache after looking at the notes that the pilot had in his pockets. The alphabet written on it was simply to alien for him. It is neatly written with a pencil, like calligraphy sorts. There was also a photograph attached to the note, it pictured a caucasian girl holding a butterfly, she lay seated behind a flower garden. What intrigued Sokolovsky was the technique of the photograph, he was certain that the technique used to take this photograph is primitive, like from the 1800s.
After he was done examining the note and the photograph he proceeded and examined at the revolver the pilot used. It is a single action, 6 round revolver. At first glance it looked like a normal revolver. However, after further inspection, the revolver doesn't seem to resemble any revolvers Sokolovsky had seen. It bear markings of the strange alphabets. The bullets on the the other hand, doesn't seem to be any caliber Sokolovsky know off.
As Sokolovsky was examining, one of his men approached him. "Sir we've analyzed the plane."
"How is it?" Sokolovsky asked.
"We've never seen anything like it, the plane itself, is pure crap."
Sokolovsy widened his brows. "Oh? Tell me more."
"First, the materials, it's made out of wood with fabrics glued on it. The wings are barely cut with precision, the body design itself is not very aerodynamic."
"Continue."
"The engine itself is a primitive rotary engine. Again, it's made with barely any precision and poorly made. After glancing at the engine for a while, there seemed to be some parts broken."
"So that explains why the plane landed here." Sokolovsky concluded. "So what do you think? Is it not from here?"
"Hard to say sir, any civilian engineers could build like that. But, there are strange markings and alphabets on the plane we do not know of and as you can see clearly the crest that was painted on the plane.... However, after examining the gas tank, I can conclude that the distance this plane could travel is about 80 Kilometers. If it really came from the ocean, then there should be a continent less than 80 kilometers from here, but there isn't any visible. So if it were from the ocean, probably from a small island airbase nearby."
Before Sokolovsky could comment, a watchmen shouted. "Sir! I've picked something from the radar! It's... It's... A lot of ships closing in! Huge in size! One, two, three, uh.... Eight ships!" Hearing this everyone present was in a shock.
"Or it could be from an aircraft carrier." Sokolovsky mumbled.
And so shouts could be heard from Sokolovsky. It is a shout that has not been heard since three years ago. A call for battle.
"How many men and tanks do we have?" Sokolovsky asked one of his underlings.
"50.000 men are currently are guarding the eastern shoreline, but in this particular shore, only 3.000 men are stationed here sir." With a cold sweat the underling reported.
"As for the tanks, good news! A T-34 and 2 Panthers just arrived here."
"Good, good. Have you reported this to other stations? And did other stations reported anything?" Sokolovsky asked.
"Yes, all of the stations are already on alert. Though they haven't spotted anything."
"Good, now, call for air support from nearby air bases. Make sure their munitions are resupplied. If possible, A Stuka." Sokolovsky said with a smile.

A few Kilometers from the shoreline, stood a tightly packed fleet of ships and an odd looking aircraft carrier ship. The fleet slowly approaches the continent.
"Lord Griz, Gurk's signal is just up ahead." Informed one of his men.
"Good, at last we could see another continent that will belong to the Albatross Empire!" Claps could be heard towards Lord Griz, surely it was an exaggerating clap. Truly, it was exciting for the men on board. They could feel the glory waiting to be theirs.
Up on the watch tower, the observer spotted something unusual from the telescope.
"Uh. Lord Griz, I Sooted something on the shoreline! It appears from Gurk's signal"
"What! What is it?" Lord Griz asked furiously.
"It's a bunch of locals by the shoreline! In fact, there's a lot of them!"
"Curses, the plane must've attracted them. And surely Gurk couldn't last there. Alright, tell the other ships, we land and massacre those dogs. Gurk probably already lost his life trying to defend himself." Lord Griz announced with anger.
The others who heard this burnt their heart in excitement. Massacring dogs mercilessly is a fun sport.
Suddenly buzzing noises could be heard from the sky. It sounded louder as it got nearer and nearer. It sounded like a plane!
"Is that, Gurk?"
"Hahaha he's alive! He's alive!"
"Hahahahaha. Wait, there are 2 planes?"
"What? 2? Impossible!" Lord Griz who heard this was shocked.
"Could it be that other empires had already been here?"
The planes flew at a terrifying speed, passing the ships. Of course the sounds of the plane terrified the crap out of the men. From a brief flyby, it could be seen that the plane had only a pair wings. The color of it was mostly yellow, and the wings are oddly shaped, like it was bent. The most distinct was the huge black swastika crest on it's tail. What the fleet failed to notice, is the oval shaped thing under these planes.
"What the hell is, Ooooh! Look at how sharp it's turning! Such maneuverability! And it's turning back towards us!" Shouts of panic could be heard from the men. In truth, Lord Griz too was terrified. This flyby happened for a few times before,
"Shoot those planes! Shoot it!" Lord Griz ordered.
As the planes went on another flyby, multiple shots could be heard firing towards the seemingly scary plane. The men fired their lever action rifles, the standard military armament of the Albatross Empire. The design of the lever action rifle is simply out of their time, it was very modern as it provided a lot of firepower for a single person.
But such small yet blunt projectile firing at a high speed, aluminum plane is far from effective. After being shot multiple times, the planes ceased flying near the ships again. Instead they circled around the fleet on a higher altitude, waiting for something.
"Are they done now?"
"Have a taste of those bullets!"
"They are probably scared to approach us again!"
The loud cheers among the crew only lasted less than a minute before one of the planes from a very high altitude suddenly dived sharply unto the fleet. Little did they know, this time, the Horns of Jericho are switched on.

Each second the trumpet like sound gets it's pitched higher and higher, louder and louder, scarier and scarier, it seemed never ending. The extremely sudden sound shocked the entire crew out of their wits, some even pissed in their pants. Others are stunned from fear. Lord Griz even fell to his back paralyzed almost to death.
The plane suddenly pulled up after the dive in just a short amount of time before it kissed the fleet.
Before pulling up, the plane released a 250 kg Bomb on the plane carrier.
BOOOOM
A loud explosion sounded, a massive fireball appeared from the carrier. It's yellow flame was brighter than the sun.
Suddenly another trumpet sound sounded again. This time, the second plane followed.
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWW È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È È
Each second the trumpet like sound gets it's pitched higher and higher, louder and louder, scarier and scarier, it seemed never ending. And like before, it pulled up while releasing a 250kg bomb. This time, it hits the biggest Voyager class gunship in the entire fleet, the Vidjik. The Explosion blasted the ship's deck, before another bigger explosion exploded the ship into nothing but smithereens, probably the ammunition compartment exploded.
The crew who looked at the sight almost fainted. They couldn't keep up with the fear anymore. Truly, this made them traumatized permanently from the sudden shock. It will remain engraved unto their heads for the rest of their lives.
Lord Griz who watched the sudden events couldn't help but tremble and ordered the entire fleet to turn back.
