Chapter 2 - The Plan

Tye sighed he was going to die if he didn't think of something. He then thought over the facts the guards left a pile of clothes for the goblins to wear something mildly resembling clothing but most goblins had no need of clothes. Tye thought on how he would survive if he only gained 25 exp every meal. The guards came to escort them to train with the other races in the ludus(a type of gladiatorial training pit) in the morning.

Tye looked around on his way to the ludus the doctore stayed in the cell and the 12 newborns were outside with Tye but the older goblins were already lifting blocks of wood and practicing swordsmanship in the ludus by the time Tye and the newborns got there.

Tye thought hard about his continued survival he wasn't smart enough to outmatch the guards or plan an escape without more knowledge and intelligence as he was only a goblin but the level ups made him smarter.

He needed simply needed food to get experience point for the level up he looked around once more and saw there were five older goblins , three kobolds, and a slime lying dead obviously from training against monsters to strong for them. The silver elites were freely eating the bodies but the rest of the monster's did not obviously because of their status as elites.

Tye studied the other species instead of working out as the other's did and made sure to keep an eye out as the day progressed the only way Tye would survive was his intelligence as the ogres and lizard men worked out just as much as the older goblins and had a much larger head start in physique they were far faster and stronger than any goblin.

Night fell causing the silver pauldrons to walk back by themselves and the guards come to escort the newborn's back to the cell. Tye watched from behind the door as one guard put his hand on a blue gem across from the cell and flashed his hand bright yellow causing a large cups to appear.

The amount was to large Tye realised there were five extra! The that the goblins that died still got their servings until the guards realised and changed the amount Tye looked around seeing that the kobolds and slimes still got the proper amount it seemed that the guards wanted to be careful about monster that could actually cause harm or were dangerous the exact opposite of the goblin newborn. Tye ran forward eager to get and extra cup only for the older goblins to barricade the cups from the newborns beating each one that got to close.

Tye knew he couldn't match the older goblin but neither could anyone else only big boned even had a chance knocking two down before a third hit him in his leg taking away his height advantage and letting the others pour down kicks finally cowing the large newborn before playing something called Spear, Sword, Sling and dividing it among themselves. Tye growled he would need an edge for the next time a goblin died and with how everything looked another goblin would die there was no doubt about that. He thought they had wooden swords in the ludus but it wouldn't be possible to sneak those into the cell.

The cups were wooden but they were too thin to be used effectively if he carved something from them. However there was the dead bodies the flesh was picked clean but the bones were still there a shiv would help him easily but he would needed to make sure he got rid of the evidence but just a knife wouldn't let him kill a elder goblin.

Tye thought carefully as they older goblins ate their food servings. They tore into them without regard for anything nearly eating the cup itself. Tye smirked if they could barely avoid eating the cup they definitely wouldn't notice someone putting something inside it.
