Chapter 4 - Meeting

Outside the restaurant, Veronica was standing wearing plain white round neck one piece with full sleeves and a belt which was fitted in middle of the one piece. Black boots complimented her dress. No doubt she had a long black silky hair which made her simple look more elegant.

As she entered the restaurant there was a man standing was about 186 cm tall with broad shoulders. His looks were definitely matching his personality.

As both of them saw each other ,they exchanged their awkward smile and proceeded ahead.

Varun didn't persue to pull chair for Veronica instead he directly sat on his own chair.

Veronica's expression remained unaffected as she never wanted anyone to do these kind of affectionate things for her. Varun was watching her each expression and he was impressed too.

After making themselves comfortable Varun asked Veronica if she wanted to order something. She ordered chocolate shake and Varun ordered coffee.

After completing their order they started having their chit-chat.

"So, you have a boyfriend?",Varun asked.

"If I had , I wouldn't be sitting infront of you" Veronica said with a grin on her face.

With a snigger on his face , Varun said "Oh!! yeah for sure".

"Is this your time meeting for a marriage?"

Veronica wanted Varun to ask her these kinds of questions so that without beating around the bush she could have answered him straight to the point.

"No, this is my 3rd time as I am not interested in marriage so both of the meeting didn't worked out", their was a sigh of relief on her face after vomitting the words what she really wanted to vomit.

"And the reason for not marrying is!!", Varun asked with an interest in his face.

"Because I don't want to be in a relationship . I-I... mean there are times when people think they are perfect for each other but later they regret their decision." Veronica answered bluntly.

" May I take your answer as in you don't want to have children and want to go ahead in your life!" ,he asked calmly.

"No, no , I didn't meant that, let me make you understand", Veronica answered as if she was lecturing someone for PhD.

"See , my point is ,for instance , I live far away from my parents so I know their value , the position they hold in my life. So even if they scold me unnecessarily I never debate with them whereas my younger sister lives with them , and even at a small topic they bicker all around." ,she continued

"Break is very important in any relationship , when my sister would live far away from my parents she would know their value in her life".
