As I enter through the door, a few people inside glance at me while some don't even care.
"Well well well! What do we have here? A few newbies, huh? Well, let me tell ya how this place works."
A bald headed, hunched back man says as he walks over to us.
"Hello there, my names Tyler, but everyone calls me cricket. I am the lodge master of this here DeadFish Cabin, so if I see you doing anything funny, well, lets just say that you won't be makin it outta here in one piece."
Tyler said to us, but by the look of disdain in Li Wei's eyes towards the hunched back man, I can guess that either Li Wei is stronger, or that the hunched back man is just really weak and is hiding his strength.
"Now, if you will follow me. Everyone here has to be stamped before they do anything, it is part of the rules, and I can't change them."
Tyler walks us over to a line and is about to speak to us again, when Li Wei pulls a token out of his pocket. The token is black and gold, with a engraving of a what I could only call a golem made of magma( it's basically just a magma golem.)
Seeing this, Tyler's face pales, and after a deep bow, he starts to apologize profusely but is immediately stopped when Li Wei raises his hand.
"Yes, yes, yes, I will now take you two to the vip room where all the highest ranking officials reside! Now, follow me!"
Following the bald man through a few restricted areas, we come across a large wide double door. As all of us enter, immediately we feel multiple pairs of eyes lock onto us, as if staring at a beauty.
Looking around, I see multiple people, about five or six, all dressed in expensive clothing mostly meant for comfort, all sitting down at a round table, looking at us.
One of them gets up and starts walking towards us with a menacing look. He had dark black hair and wore expensive looking clothing, and walked with a hint arrogance that would put even the most snobbish celebrities back on earth to shame. Finally, he stands in front of us, and starts to speak, and I can hear the amount of literal amount of disdain and arrogance rolling out of his mouth.
"Peasents! Peasents!Peasents! Why are filthy, dirty, and disgusting peasents in a room meant for noble and royal men such as myself!?"
Hearing more and more vulgarities spewing out of mouth, some even I haven't heard of, I can tell that Tyler is about to go crazy from fear, as he looks at us, most likely waiting for our response.
"Silence."
Li Wei says calmy to the arrogant noble man, as he allow some of his cultivation to leak out.
Not expecting the person who thought was a peasent would be so strong, he pauses, and starts to shake in fear, as he starts to spew out bullshit so he doesn't end up dying.
"Peasent! What are doing! I command you to stop this instant! And if you don't, well, hehe, my father is the clan head of the Lin clan in the Kaiyaa province capital, Shoma city!"
Li Wei puts his hand in his pocket and takes out the Chu clan token and shoves it into the arrogant mans face.
Stumbling backwards, he blinks, and after looking at the token for a bit, his face pales.
"What! Chu clan family token? How? Who are you?!"
Seeing this, Li Wei smiles, as he walks past the arrogant man, towards the round table, and waves towards me to come over.
Walking over, Li Wei pulls out the chair and motions for me to sit down, which I do.
Seeing the confused and frightened people who are sitting at the table, I decide to test a theory, so I turn towards Li Wei with my hand out.
"Can I have the token, please?"
"Here you are, young master."
Li Wei says as he sets the token down in my hand.
"Look, do you see this? Do you know what it means?."
Seeing the confused and frightened peoples face's turn to one of complete terror, I confused, are they scared because of the strength of the Chu Clan, or is it simething totally different? Turning towards Li Wei, I ask.
"Li Wei, can you please tell me why they are all so afraid of the Chu clan?"
As if knowing that I was going to say that, Li Wei answers almost immediately.
" Well, young master, you see, we are what you would call an apex power, and not just in this continent, but in the entire world. Now, while that not seem like much, considering that their are a myriad amount of different realms out there, each with varying strength, we still have an efficient amount of strength to supress those lesser powers"
"I see."
I say as I start to loom at the men and women in front of me, some royal, some noble.
"Now that thats settled, lets get back to what we were talking about before. Who do you think will win? The Earthen Fortress, or the Snowdew Valley's army? Lets bet, I put 1,500 crystals ( crystals are a type of currency above that of a regular gold coin. 1000 gold equals 1 crystal) that the Earthen Fortress holds out against Snowdew Valley army until backup arrives."
An old man with sharp eyebrows, dressed in an expense blue robe, says, as he waves his hand, which causes a holografic screen to appear. On it, I can see people dressed in armor that looks like it would be from the middle ages back on earth.
"I bet 300 crystals on the Snowdew army!"
"I bet 480 crystals on the Snowdew army!"
"I bet......"
After everyone at the round table has betted, which was mostly on the Snowdew army, they all look at me.
"Are you going to bet anything?"
One of them says, as he stares at me unafraid, seeing as they only know that Li Wei is strong.
Looking towards Li Wei, I ask him, unsure.
"How much can I bet?"
"Any amount you'd like."
Getting that response, I couldn't help but grin, as I say.
" 50,000 crystals on Earthen Fortress."
