Chereads / Digital Emperor (Naruto X Digimon) / Chapter 50 - Chapter 50

Chapter 50 - Chapter 50

Ken walked alongside Naruto, his face glowing with excitement as they explored the bustling streets of Dawn City. The city was alive with activity—Digimon of all sizes moved gracefully through the wide, well-paved roads, many carrying out tasks or chatting casually with Tamers. The group had even hopped on a few rides, including a friendly Locomon that offered them a scenic tour of the city's sprawling expanse.

"Big brother, what do you think of the city?" Ken asked, looking up at Naruto with eager eyes.

Naruto smiled warmly, glancing around at the lively streets and towering structures. "I think it's very impressive. It looks way better than the videos. And honestly, seeing so many Digimon in one place—it's amazing. The atmosphere here is just different. It feels... alive."

Ken beamed at the response, proud of the place he now called home. "It's not just the sights, you know. The city has everything a Tamer could need, from gear shops to the best training facilities. And don't even get me started on the fighting arena!"

"The fighting arena?" Davis chimed in, grinning as he joined the conversation. "Yeah, that's the real gem of the city. The battles in there are crazy—nothing like the Human World."

Takato, who had been quietly listening, perked up. "What do you mean? Is it really that different from the arena back home?"

Davis scoffed and crossed his arms. "Different? Dude, the arena back home is like a kiddie playground compared to this. Here, they go full-on hardcore. No holding back, no restrictions. You can fight with full power, even with Mega-level Digimon, and the arena can handle it. It's programmed to take on battles so intense they'd destroy a human city."

Takato's jaw dropped in amazement, and Arthur leaned closer, equally intrigued. Rika, ever the pragmatic one, gave Takato a quick jab to the chin, snapping his mouth shut. "Close it. You'll catch flies," she said with her usual sarcasm.

"Ow! Let's go, let's go!" Takato exclaimed, too excited to care about the reprimand. "Oh my God, I want to see a battle!" His eyes practically sparkled with anticipation.

The group chuckled at his enthusiasm, though it was clear many of them shared the sentiment. Most Tamers from the Human World rarely had the chance to witness live battles involving Mega-level Digimon. In the Human World, such battles were too dangerous, and even in special containment systems like the Reality Marble, there were strict limits to avoid catastrophic damage. The mere thought of seeing a Machinedramon or SaberLeomon fight at full strength was enough to stir excitement.

"I'm in, too," Henry said, his interest piqued. "Ken, are there any metal-type Mega battles happening today?"

Ken thought for a moment before Mio stepped in, her tone calm and knowledgeable. "There's a match between Machinedramon and SaberLeomon in a few hours. It's bound to be thrilling."

Henry nodded, his expression brightening. "That sounds perfect. Let's watch it."

Meanwhile, Tesla perched on Henry's head, looking utterly regal despite his small size. His adorable demeanor earned amused glances from Takeru and Hikari, who struggled to stifle their laughter. Micah and Aaliyah, clearly inspired by Tesla, climbed onto their respective partners, creating a scene so endearing that even the usually serious Yolei couldn't help but chuckle.

"I'd recommend watching it, too," Mio added, adjusting her glasses. "It's not just entertaining; it can also inspire your Digimon. Battles like these have a way of boosting morale and sparking growth."

Yolei grinned, leaning toward Ken. "I agree with Mio's comment, big brother. You really need to see it. It might help you catch up," she teased, her playful tone lightening the mood.

Ken rolled his eyes but couldn't hide his small smile. Yolei's playful banter had become a welcome addition to his life. Without people like her or Davis around, he realized, his days would be far too dull.

As the group wandered through the lively streets of Dawn City, Iori's sharp, observant gaze settled on Naruto. He had been unusually quiet, studying everyone's reactions to the vibrant new environment. The city, with its soaring structures, the hum of digital activity, and Digimon seamlessly interacting with Tamers, had clearly amazed the others. Yet, Naruto's demeanor remained calm and composed.

"Big brother, why is your reaction to everything so calm and collected?" Iori finally asked, his voice tinged with genuine curiosity. "Even I felt a lot of excitement when I arrived, and Rika, though she won't admit it, has also shown signs of excitement. But you—you're just... indifferent. To you, this feels like just another place with some new things."

Naruto glanced at the young boy, a small smile tugging at his lips. "I am excited," he replied, ruffling Iori's hair gently. "But my reaction probably looks the same as it always does. You must have confused it for indifference. I'm sorry, Iori, but you still have a little to learn about reading people. I just have a knack for making my feelings hard to discern from my expressions."

Naruto chuckled softly, his tone light. Iori, serious and mature beyond his years, nodded but narrowed his eyes slightly. He wasn't entirely convinced by Naruto's response. While the older Tamer's explanation held some truth, Iori suspected there was more to it. What Naruto hadn't said outright was that this wasn't his first time experiencing something extraordinary. Having already traveled to this new world from his own, Naruto was long past the sense of overwhelming wonder that often accompanied such transitions.

Before Iori could press further, Davis burst into the conversation, his energy shifting the group's focus. "Ignoring that random comment from our resident Einstein," Davis teased, "this is a battle you cannot miss. Do you wanna know why?" He paused for dramatic effect, a grin spreading across his face. "It's the Millennium Group fighting today."

The announcement electrified the group, and Takato nearly leapt out of his skin in excitement. "Are you serious? Are you telling me that Lord Atem is here in the Asia region of this sector? Wasn't he supposed to be in the Ancient Sector helping Lord Takuya?"

Atem's name carried immense weight. Known as the Ruler of Egypt, Atem was a legendary Tamer and the leader of the Millennium Group. His reputation was unparalleled, not just for his strength but for being one of the first Tamers to actively support the Ancients. His responsibilities often kept him far from public view, making his presence in this sector a rare and thrilling prospect. The mere mention of his name sent ripples of excitement through the group.

"Don't get ahead of yourself, dude," Davis said, waving Takato off. "Why would Atem show up for something like this? He hasn't participated in public events in over a decade. It's his teammates, Seto Kaiba and Joey Wheeler, who'll be fighting today. They were already in the region and ended up being the last two standing in a battle royal. This is a golden opportunity! These guys are even stronger than Tai."

"Davis," Yolei interrupted with a mock-serious tone, placing a hand on his shoulder, "don't worry. I'll let Tai know about your betrayal personally. And don't worry about your stuff—I'll save it from getting burned." Her teasing remark made Davis stumble slightly as he shot her an incredulous look.

Takeru laughed, stepping in to defuse the situation. "Relax, Davis. Yolei's just messing with you. Tai isn't the type to get upset over something like this."

"Exactly," Hikari added, her tone gentle but firm. "Davis, it's okay to admire other Tamers. Just don't take Yolei's bait so easily, okay?"

Hikari's calming words seemed to settle Davis, though he still muttered something about "traitorous teammates" under his breath. Meanwhile, Naruto's interest was piqued. The thought of witnessing a battle involving members of the Millennium Group intrigued him. Seeing Digimon and Tamers of such high caliber brought back memories of his own battles at the peak of his power. Though Atem himself wouldn't be present, watching his teammates, Kaiba and Joey, was more than enough for now.

Naruto was also interested in this battle. Seeing a battle of this level was like a reminder of his battles at the peak of his power.

The Ruler of Egypt, Atem, was also an interesting person that he would like to meet. But for now seeing his team mates fight would be good enough for now.

There were many different digimon in the Witchelny sector and it was the place that this team occupied most of the time. They were rarely on this sector.

"Kaiba's partner is Deep Eyes White Dragon," Davis explained, his enthusiasm returning. "It's based on information from an old game called Yu-Gi-Oh—super famous before the Digital World opened up to the Human World. As for Atem, his main partner is Exodia. That Digimon's almost on par with the Royal Knights."

The group fell silent for a moment, the weight of Davis's words sinking in. For most Tamers, the idea of seeing such legendary figures in action was a dream come true.

Naruto, though composed, felt a spark of excitement ignite within him. "Looks like this battle is going to be something special," he said quietly, his words carrying an air of anticipation.

The group exchanged excited glances, the energy among them reaching new heights. This wasn't just a fight; it was a glimpse into a level of skill and power that most Tamers could only aspire to. And for Naruto, it was a chance to reflect on his own journey while looking ahead to what lay in store.

The group wandered the bustling streets, the energy of the city vibrant with anticipation for the upcoming battle. With an hour to spare, they decided to explore further. Their first stop was the market district, a sprawling hub of trade and commerce. Naruto's gaze scanned the area, noting the sheer size and variety of goods on display. It was a world far beyond anything he'd seen before, filled with shops both human and Digimon-operated, showcasing their full potential in this digital domain.

The market wasn't just a place of business—it was a spectacle. Massive screens displayed live feeds of the Digimon races, enhanced with VR options that allowed viewers to dive into the action as if they were right there. People could follow the race as a whole or zoom in on their favorite racers, immersing themselves entirely in the competition. The atmosphere was electric, with the cheers of the crowd blending with the hum of technology.

There was also the Private Hunters but Naruto didn't need them to find his target materials, as that was a journey he would go on personally.

Some people relied on other people to find them things for their digimon to evolve.

Going to the market area of the city, Naruto could see its massive size. He had never seen such a market before. He finally saw the real form of the brands in the human world, as in here they could display their full might and power.

He also saw the brand shop of Ecstasy, the Uzumaki clan, The Gentleman club and many more.

It wasn't just human brands as there were also shops run by digimon.

As they moved through the area, Mio and Yurine took the lead, guiding the group with purpose. They bypassed smaller shops and directed them to one of the most renowned establishments in the region: Legend Arms. The moment they approached, the group could feel the aura of power emanating from the colossal building.

"This is it," Mio announced, gesturing to the massive structure before them. "The best shop for weapons and shields in the entire world. If you're looking for armor or human gear, you'll need to check other places. But for Digimon equipment? This is the pinnacle."

Naruto's eyes narrowed as he took in the name of the shop, Legend Arms. It carried weight, even among the most seasoned Tamers. These weren't just ordinary weapons; they were forged from the data of legendary weapons throughout history. Every piece carried the essence of myths and legends, from Excalibur to Masamune, now reborn as Digimon known as Legend Arms.

Legend Arms Digimon lived on an isolated island, protected by Merlinmon, a powerful and enigmatic figure. They were neutral entities, choosing their masters with care, and their creations were highly coveted by Tamers worldwide. Despite their isolation, they had become symbols of power, sought after by heroes and villains alike.

Naruto's mind briefly wandered to one such Legend Arm he knew well—his mother's partner, Duramon, a Digimon forged from the legend of Durandal. Duramon was a formidable warrior, capable of devastating attacks. Its final form, Durandamon, was said to be sharp enough to cut even Naruto in half with ease. Standing in front of this shop only reinforced the power these weapons held.

The interior of Legend Arms was awe-inspiring, with rows upon rows of weapons displayed like treasures in a mystical armory. The craftsmanship was unparalleled, each weapon radiating energy that even an untrained eye could sense. Swords, spears, shields, and more—all pulsing with potential.

Naruto scanned the room, his keen senses allowing him to judge the power of each weapon with just a glance. Even in his prime, some of these weapons could have posed a real threat to him. Most of the items were strong enough for Mega-level Digimon to wield effectively, though none reached the heights of the Mega-level Legend Arms Digimon themselves.

Naruto's thoughts turned to Duramon again. Knowing the kind of power it wielded gave him a unique appreciation for what he was seeing. Even now, the idea of Durandamon's blade being sharp enough to cleave through Mega-level Digimon with ease was a humbling thought.
