Adam thought of using his ability that was utilized at the princess earlier to stop the incoming giant sword but immediately abandons it because the pressure that the sword emits is already making him unstable to breathe.
If he tried to block, it that might only pass through and crush him to pieces.
The sword didn't wait for him to think of other solutions when it hit the empty spot where Adam was standing before he rolls to the ground dodging a direct hit.
"Are you okay... You traitor!" He glares at Leila, who was on the corner of the chamber far away from him after stabilizing. She knows what was going to happen because of her 'Fortune Of Trigrams' beforehand.
She smiles wryly at him.
The statue began to advance its foot toward Adam as it drags the giant sword. Adam watched this scene unfold as he thinks of a way how to deal with this.
"Hey! Can i also drag the girl?!" He points in the direction of the princess is. Two is better than one, he thought.
Leila was shocked by what she heard.
"Don't you involve me in your problem!" As Leila said furiously, even though she had known Adam for a week, she can't possibly know how his brain worked with that amount of time or even her lifetime, but she knew he wasn't an unreasonable person.
"*Only the young god of samsara can participate. You beat me. You will pass the trial and your next clue for the 2nd.*"
The statue approached and prepared to strike Adam with its sword again.
"I don't know what god thing you're talking about, but you can go back to sleep again."
Adam's eyeball suddenly turned black, and the black in the center of its eye blazed a dark green flame for a few seconds as black smoke came out of his raised hand that shaped a gun and aimed it at the big moving rock.
He pulled the trigger.
*Boom*
*Stones rumbles*
Leila opened her eyes slowly. She was startled by how unharmed she was. Last time it was because of the statue protecting them, but her confusion didn't last long when she heard a cawing above her.
A crow is resting on her head while cawing in the direction where Adam is.
She stared at the destroyed chamber again. The only thing that changed is that there are no dead bodies anymore due to the royal investigators cleaning them, and the hole on top of the chamber was more spacious now.
In the middle of the chamber, smoke filled the area.
"Adam!!" Leila swiftly got up and went to find Adam.
And after much shouting, she saw him sprawled in a pile of rock as he coughs blood. She sprints towards him.
"Go... B-back..." Still holding his gun, he painstakingly pointed the gun at the large black shadow behind Leila.
A giant disfigured statue slowly emerges with no head, missing left arm, and cracks all over its body. Despite the damage, it could still hold the sword with its right hand approaching them.
Leila was terrified. She thought the test was over when she saw the statue was not moving anymore amongst the smoke and had no signs of energy left on its body. She was confused that the secret art 'Clarity' from her 'Fortune Of Trigrams' couldn't detect its move now, like earlier.
Leila proceeded to run to Adam attempting to save him before the statue got near, but she suddenly sprang up and flew away from the chamber.
"Noo!! You bastard!!"
Adam assiduously stands up while he wiped the blood on his mouth, looking at the statue that stood in front of him.
The statue raises the giant sword high up. And Adam points the gun at the sword.
#####
"Let me go! Do you want to let your master die in there?!" Leila struggles with the bird's grip on her as she flies away from the area.
*Booom!*
Birds scattered in the sky after the loud explosion rang out.

Royal investigators came back to investigate the 'Ruins Of The Elves' after the explosion a few days ago and return unsuccessful in their endeavors. They reported that the landscape near the ruins changed, causing them to lose their direction towards the target area.
"So you mean you gave up on the search?"
"No, your highness! We wouldn't dare coming back with that report only!"
"Go on."
"A few days of using all our resources to find the ruins near the area... We failed to find the ruins. But, we saw a strange lone tree that was different from the others surrounding it."
"A tree?"
"I don't know if this will please or horrify you, your highness..."
"What do you mean? Spill it, Mozhart!"
"As far as we know in the history of our kingdom, We are the oldest kingdom and former 1st-grade kingdom, not by the military power of our state but by the strength of our 1st king alone."
"..."
"We all know the story of the 1st king has many flaws and undescribed events that we're dying to know. One of them is the missing link near to our kingdom that we worked hard to buried countless years and never tried to search for it because of the tragedy of the past."
"..."
"The rise of power of the 1st king and the day he met his wife. It all happened the day he stumbled upon this unique tree near the kingdom or, to be frank, the forest near the ruins. I and my colleagues, unfortunately, have found it... We respect your decision, your majesty!"
Coalesced emotion appeared on the king's face as he can't believe hearing all this, which was considered a taboo of the past have suddenly resurfaced.
"Bring all your men to the palace..."
"Immediately, your majesty!" The chief of the royal investigators bowed one last time as he heads out of the room.
The king stood on his seat, pacing back and forth on his throne with anxiety. He never once doubt the myth of the tree is false... Because he. Himself. Experienced the power it brings and the price it requires.
"The Omen Tree... Why now??"
