I spend the next couple of weeks waiting for both side's armies to arrive. I kept myself busy by scoping the terrain, gathering supplies, and making plans for different scenarios. Not knowing how many supplies I need I found and claimed my own area of the jungle and started my own "garden" of useful plants.
Just as I was finished planting my last batch of plants, both armies arrived on the same day. Although I was busy growing plants and checking out the surrounding terrain, I also kept a close eye on both sides to know exactly when the war would start. I also checked on Leopard when he wasn't paying attention and he seems to be in peak condition...I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.
Even though Manbun already arrives with his army and the other ikemen, I only hung around the border of where the jungle meets the camp. I learned from the underground labyrinth not to get too close to Manbun, after all, he still doesn't know I followed him into battle.
Even though I didn't get too close to their base, I could still hear murmurs from the soldier guarding the base. Apparently the jungle is already dark enough during the day, so both sides would be at a disadvantage if they fought at night since neither side is used to this terrain. Their plan is to split into three groups, surround their base, and use sneak attack to ambush them.
I also overheard the enemies plan from their guards. They plan to hide around the river and ambush them when they come over to attack.
Both sides are planning to do it around the same time and considering how easily it is to obtain this information I'm sure there are spies among the bases. I assumed both plans were cover-ups for their enemies and they were hiding their real plan, but maybe that's what they wanted the enemy to think, because the next day both sides stuck to their plan.
Kuro's army moved out early in the morning and hid along the river bank, while Manbun's army started moving a couple hours later, split into three smaller armies. As a spectator with supersonic speed, I have a clear picture of everything that's happening.
Of the three small armies, Manbun is leading the middle one, Blaze-kun the left, and Nars the right, while the base is being used as an information hub run by Cold-kun, his assassins being the messengers.
On the other side Leopard ended up joining the battle, along with Fedora-San who's still laying on a tree, this time near the river, and if I didn't use the plants' senses to detect Kuro, I never would have notice him hidden among the plants with the rest of his army. There were a couple other ikemen that stood out, but I didn't recognize them so I chose to ignore them. Hypocrite-kun is holding down the fort with a small amount of the army.
