And we're off! What awaits me on my journey! I imagine meeting new people, exploring new places, fighting monsters and leveling up like in those 'transported to another world' novels.
...but sadly, I cannot, for I have the body of a tree, and the heart of a fujoshi. Well, it's not all bad, at least my companions include and above-average looking father, a cute kid, and an endless supply of muscle. Not bad. Not bad at all.
I've been traveling with this crew of merchants for about a week now and I think I've spent my time pretty efficiently. I managed to find a pile dirt that's fallen in between the wooden boards over time and planted a couple of seeds there. The rest of the saplings are on random muscle men, the boy, and the father.
Other than that, I've also gotten to know a lot about these guys and how they operate.
Where we're going to next seems to be a place called the Sandman Kingdom. Their main export seems to be something called 'dream dust' which is what we're going there for. This 'dream dust' is popular in other countries so we're going to buy a lot once we get to the kingdom, then sell it in neighboring countries and towns.
Well, that was the plan before we got ambushed by bandits, now we have to make it out alive from this before we continue our journey.
They attacked at night, while everyone was eating and our guard was down. You can tell they're not your average bandits by the way they operate. First, they sneak around, knocking people out one by one, without making a sound that would alert us.
I assume their plan is to get rid of as many people as they can, the less people they have to fight, the less injuries they'll have. Then, they can take the caravan and everything inside without a problem.
Of course I knew was was going on the whole time because of my spatial awareness, though the range isn't very wide, because I only noticed after they got closer to me, after about 25% of them were taken out.
Now almost 50% of our men have been knocked out, but no one has noticed and I have no way to notify anyone. It's at these moments that I feel completely useless. Am I going to watch as my new friends get robbed? Is there nothing I can do? No. There has to be something, anything...
