Chapter 94 - 94. Blossoming Ballads Part 3

Haruko let go of her and rushed behind Pin, who had reached the last step by now. "Pin! Wait for me." He said, panting heavily.

"What do you need Haruko?" Pin asked back, as calmness swept across his face.

"Raina is like a sister to me. She had supported me when I had nothing. She gave me hope when the death bells of despair were clanking over my head."

"Dude... You don't need to be so poetic. I already know that she means something to you. Besides that, I am not angry, just bored there." Pin answered in a monotonous tone of voice.

"Oh... I got scared for a second there." Haruko placed his arm around Pin's shoulder and cheerfully said, "Let's go back to the room."

Raina looked at them from the distance, as she witnessed them bond over such a simple thing and sighed, "Only if I wasn't born evil."

She walked into the room and locked herself inside, resting her back against the door and looking up at the ceiling, with tears brimming in her eyes. She could feel the weight of her back drag her along the door and she eventually slumped on the ground. However, the weight pulling her was much lesser than what pushed her to cross boundaries at that time.

"Why did you have to do that?" She muttered to herself.

At that time, she noticed the bedroom's locks click and saw a figure coming out. Though her eyes were now blurred by tears, she could still identify Sam. After all, the blood running in their veins was the same.

"What happened sister?" Sam hurried towards her and kneeled down, with his brown eyes full of concern.

"It's Spence. He thinks we murdered everyone." She said through tears.

Sam couldn't control himself and chuckled softly, making sure his sister doesn't notice him. However, she immediately shot a glance at him and muttered, "You think this is funny?"

"No... It's not funny." He swallowed a lump down his throat. "What happened to your face?" He turned her face to the other side to get a closer look.

"It's nothing," She brushed off his hand and blurted.

"What are you saying? Let me see." Sam forced his hands and tried to examine the wound. It was now deep mauve in color and the fingerprints were embedded on the surface. "Spence did it, didn't he?"

"Ambar! Enough is enough!" She yelled out loud and pushed his hand away. Somehow, Sam was too shocked to say anything and he simply moved away from her, claiming distance. Walking towards the table, he slumped down on a chair and tried to focus on the papers, but nothing seemed to have helped him forget what just happened. He looked at the screen in front of him and noted down somethings in his notepad, nodding his head along.

After a while, he suddenly got up and walked towards the door. "I am leaving for a while," He said as he walked out of the room.

He walked towards the dorms and stood in front of a room, taking a cautious step back. 'Should I do this?' He asked to himself. Swallowing a lump down his throat yet again, he knocked on the door softly. Within a minute, the door locks clicked and it opened, as Spence's gloomy face met his eye.

"You shouldn't have slapped Raina." He bluntly muttered.

"She is a murderer, she killed all of our classmates." Spence was unmoved. "I slapped a murderer today."

"She isn't a murderer you bastard!" Sam yelled, grabbing Spence's shirt collar.

Bond noticed the commotion as he was walking towards the dorm and immediately rushed to stop both of them. He loosened Sam's grip and pulled out Spence, pushing him to the corner. Grabbing Sam's hands, he dragged him out of the room and shut the door behind himself.

"Why are you doing this to him? I know he's done a wrong thing by hitting your sister and he will be reprimanded for that." Bond said, placing a hand on Sam's shoulder to console him. "Tonight, no tomorrow... I promise he will apologize to her." He said, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I don't know why, but you have calmed down these days." Sam said, placing a finger under his chin.

"Spence has changed me for good." Bond said, with pride glittering in his eyes. "Just let him go this time."

"He's my friend too, and I think I overreacted a bit. I'll give him time to think. But I need an apology for sure."

"You will get the apology."

With the situation in place, Sam walked back to the SEC, as Bond entered the room, glaring at Spence from the corner of his eye."

"Why did you slap her?" He shot a straight question.

"I am not accountable to a stranger." Spence's reply was short and empty.
