The night had grown its vines across the landscape as darkness engulfed the town. Things had not improved in Bright Leaders Academy. No one expected it too, either.
"Will they find us out?" Spence gulped down saliva to moisten his dry throat.
"I don't know." Bond didn't seem any better.
"I don't want to say this, but being trapped here is asphyxiating me and I am not sure I can make it." Spence looked around the room. "It was nice meeting you all."
He rested his head against the cold metal door, which sent a shiver down his spine. Bond kept on staring at him for long now. His nose was lifted and lips pouted.
"What?" He was annoyed due to the tiring day.
"Don't ever say this." Bond said as he moved closer to him. "I won't let you die."
"Yeah thanks."
"Maybe you should use this time to tell me about the key." Bond looked at him intently.
"Why are you so interested in the key?" His words were muffled as a yawn escaped his mouth.
Before Bond could ask anything further, Spence rested his head on Bond's shoulder and put his head weight on it. Bond saw his eyelids droop down and he fell asleep instantly. He also thought it was better to sleep and pray for the best to happen. With that in mind, he laid his head on Spence's head and delved into a deep sleep, only to wake up next day.
The bright sun rays were covered by a cluster of grey clouds that seemed to paint the town in grey all over. It was pouring cats and dogs, with constant thunderbolts flashing across the dark sky.
"What happened here?" Pin got up and looked around, noticing similar chaos around.
He walked up to the wardrobe and looked at the pair, who looked like soldiers resting after a long war. 'The couple is asleep.' He said to himself as he tapped Bond's shoulder, waking him up in a second.
"Did they open the door?" He suddenly sprang up.
"What door?" Pin seemed confused.
"Oh... It's you Pin. The thing is, umm... We are locked in this room." Bond said as he scratched his head and looked down.
"What do you mean by locked?"
"It means we will be stuck here forever. Unless..."
"Unless what?" The wrinkles of worry began to form on his face.
"Unless Binh and Feng Mian open the door from the other side."
"Look, I don't understand anything that you say these days, but I trust you." Pin placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Thanks."
Pin examined the door and noticed the lack of a latch or a keyhole. He knocked on it several times and found something he was looking for. Placing his face on the door, he began to yell, "help us!" through the door.
"What are you doing?" Spence was awakened by the loud noise.
"I searched the thinnest place on the door and let's pray that the other pary hears us.
Meanwhile in the other room, Binh and Feng Mian had fallen asleep outside the room, as they failed to unravel the source of the sound. Binh stretched his limbs and yawned loudly. He got up sheepishly and headed to the bathroom to freshen himself. Whilst looking at his handsome face in the mirror, he noticed the wall near the shower chamber rattle. He immediately rushed outside and dragged Feng Mian into the bathroom.
"Look for yourself, I am not mad." He muttered as he pointed towards the door.
"Ghosts do not come in the morning, do they?" Feng Mian asked as he paced like a baby towards the alleged source.
"No. Ghosts only wander at night."
"Then... It should be fine." He was standing inside the shower chamber now.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" He asked as he knocked on the door.
"Help us!" Someone yelled from the other side.
They both stood back
"Wait... That voice sounds similar." Binh muttered.
"Isn't that Pin?" Feng Mian said to Binh.
"Let's ask them then." He said as he moved towards the door. "Is it Pin?"
"They heard us!" Pin seemed to cry a little. "Yes it's me. Please open the door."
"How do I open the door?" Binh searched around for a latch but found none. There were only toiletries everywhere. Shampoos, Conditioners, Shower gels but no door handle.
"Strange." Someone said from the other side.
Inside Spence's room, they all seemed elated with joy. The clouds had cleared and the sun was out again, shining against their tired faces.
"When we had entered Yu Han's room that day, I had noticed something strange. Everything was in order except for one thing. It was one of the toiletries but I don't know which one."
"What? Why didn't you tell me before?" Bond was furious.
"Can you see some toiletries there?" Pin yelled through the door.
"There are lots here." Binh paused for a ten seconds and then replied.
"What was its appearance like?" Pin asked to Spence.
"It was a big white tube with some teal designs on it. It was from the cabinet near the sink as the cabinet was open."
"Big white tube in the cabinet!" Pin yelled back.
"There was a prolonged silence for five minutes and they heard footsteps advance towards them."There are two of such in here. Which one do you need?"
Pin looked at Spence, but all he could see was an expression of hopelessness.
Two hours had passed since they had tried to escape. All of these sudden occurrences were taking a toll on their minds and they had lost their ability to think rationally.
"We can hardly survive for five days here." Spence suddenly shot up.
"It's better to die now." Pin had lost all his fragile hope. "I don't even know how I landed here, but I surely know that I don't want to be here."
At that time, Bond received a message notification from Sam. He opened it and bright light flashed across his weak eyes, making him partially blind.
"I can only read some letters. It says C, N, D, T, O, E, R." He said as he struggled.
"Oh I think I know! It's the conditioner." Spence shot up.
"Okay let me try." Pin walked to the door and yelled, "It's the conditioner! "
Surprisingly enough, Binh and Feng Mian had been waiting for their response. They immediately walked to the cabinet and picked up the conditioner, revealing a red button underneath. They pushed the button and heard countless levers click, followed by a loud thump as three humans collapsed on each other.
"Oh my god, thanks for saving us." Spence muttered as he gradually shut his eyes.
