After we eat our food, Kane said good night and went to go leave. But something in me didn't want to be alone. Before he could leave, I call out "K-Kane?"he stopped at the door looking back at me, "c-could you stay with m-me?"I stutter a like a little girl who has a crush. Shaking my head at the thought
' You damm baby! You Don't even know him for one. And he might be working with someone to killed you.. Just l-like the guy f-from the school, and you Want him to stay with you in the room! H-he makes you feel weird,.....c-could I be that into him? And I just met him.
"N-never mine forget it" I say he could probably hear the nervous tone in my voice. But cut through before I could say anymore embarrassing things. "It okay Scarlet, you have every right to be scared, and I'm okay with staying." I didn't know what to say. He thought I was scared.
I snorts dramatically in head but I didn't correct him "o-okay ummm you can sleep here, I'll take the couch" I say
Not going to let him suffer on that small poor made couch.
Like hell his been so kind and caring so far. Not going to be disrespectful to him! He saved me in two sticky situations and also explained everything in my life I always had questions about, he told me about special humans to be exact, and why they have these abilities and I am one of them of course. "No it's fine I need to do some work anyways. You need to get some sleep, we have a busy week ahead of us." he said staring at me intensely.
I could so go for a cold shower right about Now I think.
After that he goes to sit on the couch right next to the bed near a window, Shuffling in his duffel bag for what I assumed as a computer. Not really wanting to argue, I turn so my back was facing him. Trying not to think of the situation we are in, closing my eyes for what feels like forever in week's.

(Kane POV)
After Scarlett had fallen asleep, I got up and headed out in the living room to call Owen, pushing on his contact waiting for him to pick up. Not long after he did.
"What do you want?" voice sounded groggy from sleep
"Wake up now..we have a big problem" waiting for him to respond "keep going I'm listening" Now that he's not half a sleep, I go on. "I found her... They were right she looks like. Her And to found out she been running her whole life alone.
Shadows after her non stop. Found one at her school almost killed her Owen. There getting out of hand" I say huffing
"Will you be bringing her to the saft house? We Need to get all the answers we Need, the Shadows aren't backing Down anytime soon. We need to save as many of the s-"
" Special I know" I say
And he is right we do, "I'll bring her, but in the meantime, try and get as much information on the shadow's that are coming to the city."
We ended the call after a few minutes. Getting ready for bed, I considered joining Her in the bed...shaking my head.
We aren't allowed to be intimate with anyone, especially her....her kind is dangerous. So the Council made a law from our kind, we have to sign a document in order to be with that significant other.
And if you brake that law ... Well you won't be let go so easy, punishment will happen.
After I arguing with my thoughts
I lay down on the couch right beside the bed, really trying not to stare at her, s-she so God damn beautiful, an adorable while she sleeps. After closing my eyes I fantasize what it would be like to have her in my arms.
