The same ghost-like apparition appeared above him. Lewis was still startled, but decided to confront this spooky monster. "What are you doing in my house?" Lewis' voice was much louder than he anticipated it to be.
"Hoho, you have one a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be the greatest!" A middle-aged voice came from the ghost. "The greatest at what?" Lewis replied, anxious for the answer. "The greatest writer in history!"
Surely there was a mistake?
"I think you've got the wrong person. Also, what is with your body? Are you a ghost?" Lewis wore a confused face the entire time. Meanwhile, the con artis- the ghost seemed very annoyed. "Fine. I'll take off this disguise."
A robed man with a goatee and hair took the place of the ghost. He looked like he was the Eldest Prince of a Chinese dynasty. His appearance contrasted with Lewis, who looked like an average American teenager with slightly better looks. "Are you like one of those cultivators I read on Webnovel?" A voice interrupted the epic description.
"Am I like them? No. I am them. I go by many names The Overlord of All Literature, Greatest Writer in the Multiverse, God Level Author, Shameles- Proud Daoist of the Future Thought, Immortal God Level Psuedo-Dragon King God Writer, and many more. I was sent down by an angry grandpa to help you write."
Lewis was troubled by this. On one hand, he knew what he saw was supernatural. On the other hand, this middle aged man was acting like he was a Chūnibyō. What was he supposed to do? Decline this weird man's offer or take it? Would he be signing his soul away? Was he dead and was God playing a trick on him?
Well, not like he had anything to lose. He accepted the weird man's offer.
"Fine, I'll become the greatest writer in history." Lewis half-heartedly replied. The man seemed to nod his head in approval, then a book appeared in front of him. It was a seemingly old book, with torn corners and overall it just looked worse for wear. On the front of the book, the title was 'The Dao of Filler'.
The man took it from the air and held it close, saying to Lewis, "This book is very special, it has allowed me to become one of the greatest scholars in the Heavenly Realm." he continued, "If you so much as think of wanting to become a writer with your.. less than average skill, you need to study this book."
Lewis simply didn't believe the man. Sure, he was supernatural. Sure, he was full of surprises. But for one of the greatest books of all time to be titled 'The Dao of Filler'? No chance.
Lewis simply said, "I don't believe you."
The man paused for a moment, as if remembering something. Slowly the man started to smile. He had been like this when he received the book from its writer, Grandmaster Rain.
He decided to just show Lewis. "Alright, lass. If you don't believe me, I guess I will just have to show you."
Lewis panicked for a second as he saw blue and white light cover his whole body.
