Wen Xiulan was surprised by Fenrir's words since she hadn't expected the latter to do anything 'proactive' that would benefit the Devouring Moon Sect. Hearing that Fenrir was willing to go to the Blazing Sun Sect to deter other Sect's from trying to find trouble with them in the future, Wen Xiulan felt extremely gratified. However, at the same time, she also felt that this could also create other problems in the future if someone of sufficient skill or status took notice of Fenrir.
A Sect like the Blazing Sun Sect was almost entirely comprised of individuals who practiced Yang-based Cultivation methods, making the vast majority of its disciples male. The Sect Master, Palace Master, and each of the Elders were all practitioners of the Nine-Petal Celestial Fire Lotus technique.
Though they weren't a Sect known for victimizing people to make use of dual cultivation and more 'vicious' methods, Fenrir's constitution was exceptional. Even Wen Xiulan, nearly twenty years prior, had been sought after by the current Sect Master of the Blazing Sun Sect. She knew the entire reason their disciples were lingering around the City lately was likely due to the fact that he had never truly let her go...
Having Fenrir 'settle her debts' made Wen Xiulan feel uncomfortable, even though she knew her own power was insignificant to do anything about it. Even though she was the current Sect Master, Wen Xiulan hadn't earned the position on her own and, if not for the fact that she had left an impression on Fenrir, their Sect would have already been destroyed. Resolving herself to work harder in the future, Wen Xiulan bowed low to Fenrir and said, "This Wen Xiulan wishes to express her gratitude towards the Sect Guardian, Lady Fenrir. If there is ever anything this insignificant one can do for you, please, do not hesitate to ask..."
Fenrir frowned slightly, having sensed the changes in Wen Xiulan's mentality during the short period of silence preceding her words. Her reaction reminded Fenrir of some of the insecure women that her Master would always help in the past. Knowing that he would have helped Wen Xiulan, Fenrir felt like she needed to do something as well. For the time being, however, it was more important for her to deal with the Blazing Sun Sect. Once she returned, Fenrir decided she would try to help Wen Xiulan become strong enough to protect the Sect before she left it to roam the world in the future. Fenrir couldn't teach Eva's magic to her, but that didn't mean she couldn't demonstrate some of the techniques she had developed herself...
Wen Xiulan sent a servant to collect a map before spreading it out across the ornately carved table, gesturing to a section on the map that designated a volcano to the west. Fenrir's eyes scanned over the map, noticing it was far more detailed than any of the others she had seen since entering this world. In this world, maps were considered a 'treasure' of sorts, as everyone seemed intent on keeping practically everything a secret. Fenrir had no idea how they expected to make any 'real' progress since everyone kept everything to themselves, never sharing it since it would potentially 'undermine' their power. It was a truly ridiculous concept and, once she was strong enough, Fenrir was determined to change this foolish misconception, just as her Master had done back in their previous world...
