Chapter 9 - Cold place, steamy atmosphere

Kei once again woke up next to Akame, he shook her awake "five more minutes" she said snuggling against him. Kei just sighed as he got up, dressed, and went outside to start breakfast. Kei's cooking improved since he went into the dungeon, he found that the food in his bag didn't spoil which he was glad for as he found he had bacon in it. He started frying it and making tea as Akame came outside in her newly acquired clothes "smells good, at least you can do something right" she said in her egotistical attitude. Kei couldn't take his eyes off her she looked sumptuous in her white fur, her pink messy hair, her delicate skin,... Kei suddenly smelt something burning "DAAMMMN IT". While they ate their breakfast of crunchy bacon Kei chose to start a conversation "so where are you from" "the westward part of Andronia, where are you from?" Kei was shocked. He remembered that there was something about the westward part of the world but he couldn't remember it. "I'm from a foreign country that's far away from here, I get that you are a succubus and everything but I don't feel right being with a little kid---" "IM 200 IDIOT NOT SOME LITTLE KID" she yelled at Kei. Kei fell back in surprise "wait what I thought you were like twelve" she turned her head puffing up her cheeks "I know I look like young but I'm an adult, now apologize". Kei had no control as he surrendered himself before her till he snapped out of it. "Hmm still resisting me well that's ok it shouldn't last much longer," she thought "we need to get going," Kei said as he broke camp and they started traveling again. As they pushed forward more and more monsters appeared, Kei was thankful for someone else with him she was a lookout and someone to talk to. As they fought monster drops got better too, from one wolf he got at least one good pelt and claws or meat and from a spider he got web which was strong enough to block weapons or he got mandibles which varied from 15cm to 30cm. He gave Akame a short sword as a way to protect him and herself (she wasn't good with it). As they were walking they passed a cave that was warmer than the rest of the dungeon but dark, Kei wanted to investigate but Akame didn't want to go into the cave but Kei didn't listen he started into it and Akame apprehensively followed. The cave was humid and descended down Kei regretted not bringing a torch but he continued on, Akame jumped at any sound and decided to grip Kei's hand, they were both thankful for the darkness as they were blushing furiously. After about 6 minutes of walking, Kei thought of turning back, but they started to see a light. They continued walking and entered a cavern with a natural hot spring. Both were ecstatic as they haven't had a bath in forever, Kei started stripping till Akame freaked out "t-t- turn around" she squealed red-faced even tho Kei had seen her naked before he justs sighed and turned his head till she said it was ok. Akame had swum behind a large rock like a wall so they couldn't see each other. The cavern was about mid-torso but to Akame's shoulders. He was sitting down leaning on his side of the 1.5-meter wall talking to her "this is great I've not had a good bath in weeks" "yeah me too this is great" they went back and forth for a few minutes he learned that she had been in the dungeon for a what she judged to be a few months when she asked him about his past and he told her about being abandoned. She was sympathetic because that was like her past too, she asked about why he was in the dungeon and he said it was an adventure "so where were you before" for some reason Kei didn't want to tell her and he was thinking of an answer when he heard "AAAAHHHH" and splashing. Kei jumped the wall and saw what had happened she had gotten grabbed by a mermaid but not the pretty red-haired one's, this one had green skin, webbed hands with long claws, sharp teeth and gleaming red eyes. It was trying to suffocate Akame, Kei grabbed it by its seaweed-like hair and pulled it out of the water it let out an ear-piercing shriek and swiped at Kei. Kei grabbed its neck and repeatedly punched its face it in till went it when limp and disappeared leaving behind a few silver fish scales and fish meat. Kei then realized Akame was still underwater he grabbed her and ran to the shore he laid her down and started giving her CPR but she wouldn't respond. Kei kept trying till it was too late he's eyes started tearing up he had gained and lost his comrade in less than two days. Then Akame raised up coughing Kei quickly turned her on her side as she coughed up water, once she caught her breath she sprang up and embraced him crying Kei hugged her tight they stayed like that till Akame kissed him. He could feel a cut on his chest from the mermaid healing the pulled away and look in each other's eyes till they realized they were both naked Akame went blood red and slapped Kei. After they were back in the main dungeon they decide to make camp, Kei made the tent and started cooking the mermaid meat (he noticed Akame enjoyed that) they ate fish and Akame wanted something to drink and he said to grab the water out of his bag and tossed it to her. Akame poured some in a cup (Alexander provided a lot of dishes and silverware) they ate and laughed and had a great time till they decided to go to bed. Kei noticed her head drooping and thought she was tired so he led her to bed her stumbling the whole way there, once they were covered up Akame suddenly jumped on him "what are you doing" Kei said annoyed "Com on your noot get- getting away" she said slurring her words then Kei noticed the smell of alcohol on her breath (Alexander also provided that in his bag as he soon found out) Kei tried to shake her off but her eyes glowed bright red as she took complete control of his mind.
