A week had passed, and now we're here at the school's track field for the opening remarks.
I'm wearing a p.e. uniform but brother made me put a black badge on my left arm.
When I asked him what was the badge all about then he told me that it was the Student Council's badge, he's a member but he gave it to me anyways.
Before the opening remarks ended, brother brought me over to the Student Council on a shaded booth.
It seems that my brother told them about me so here I am sitting with the other Student Council members as I watch the first game start.
"Oh! Serina!"
"Teacher Mayla!" I said surprised and gave her a little nod.
The two of us ended with a conversation until a Student Council member tapped my shoulders.
"Hello! You will be the one broadcasting announcements or lost in founds, well, that's the only thing you could do to help us." She said as she smiles and hands over a piece of paper.
Well that'll be easy enough.
I know that making me sit here in a shaded booth is not for free. *sigh*
Oh well. That'll be enough.
"Teacher Mayla will be the one helping you." She smiled at me then left, helping the other members.
Then a member started preparing the equipment for broadcasting right in front of me so Teacher Mayla and I backed away a little bit so they can properly finish preparing it.
After they finished it, they did a mic test and gave a thumbs up to our direction, signaling it's already finished.
Teacher Mayla said that she will guide me as I announce things that needs to be announced.
"The first announcement is... oh!"
"Someone lost a earring." Teacher Mayla said as she places down the lost earring right in front of me.
I took it and examined it. So early in the morning, and someone already lost their belongings.
I turned on the mic, leaning my face closer. I gulped before I even talk on the mic.
"To the owner of the lost emerald earring, please proceed to the SC booth to claim it."
"Once again..."
"Lost and found emerald earring, to the owner of this earring, please proceed to the SC booth to claim it." I said and turned off the mic as I sigh in relief.
Teacher Mayla was grinning at me then pats my back as a reassurance.
Five minutes later two girls came to the booth and searched for the earring. I gave it to them and they thanked us and walked away.
While waiting for things to be broadcasted, I took out my sketchbook, pencil and eraser and started sketching about what I see... which is the students shouting and screaming, cheering for their classmates who are participating on the current game.
"You're so good at drawing." Teacher Mayla complimented. My face flushed red as I thankTeacher Mayla.
After some time almost all broadcast are about lost belongings. Some belongings aren't claimed even though I announced it many times. Maybe they're far away from the speakers?
But why would they be so far away??
The main building is the farthest from the track field. But why would they go there?? *sigh*
The day was so boring even though I was drawing.
The day became like this...
Opening.
Broadcast.
Watching.
Sketching.
Broadcast.
Broadcast again.
Snacks.
Broadcast.
Sketch.
And so on and so forth~!
A guy with a blonde hair participated the 1000m dash and surprisingly made a comeback. He looks like he enjoyed it because the whole time he was running, he was grinning or even playing around.
*sigh*
Nothing special happened...
Well that's what I thought.
Until the second day.
Teacher Mayla asked me if I can get her water bottle on top of her table, which I just did.
A red steel water bottle.
"Hey!"
"HEY! WATCH OUT!!"
*BANG!*
Suddenly I could see small pieces of glass flying everywhere.
I lost balance as I shut my eye to protect it from the glasses.
"Ah shit..." I slowly opened my eyes and found myself sitting on the shattered glasses.
I looked at my left and saw Teacher Mayla's water bottle and I accidentally dropped it now...! It has a bent on it! OH MY GOD! I saw a soccer ball next to it which is slowly losing its movement.
As I was about to stand up, my pulse suddenly became louder and stronger. As it get stronger, I can no longer breathe.
My breathing became haggard as if I was being drowned in an ocean.
I tried gasping for air but I felt like I was choking myself.
Soon I saw a rubber shoe jumping off of the shattered window.
I looked up and saw the boy with ash gray hair.
He also looked surprised.
"H-Hey...!" He stuttered, not knowing what to do.
"Shit! Your aiming sucks, Asher!"
I can't breathe!! HELP!
"SERINA!" I saw my brother jumping out of the window and saw the state I am in.
He crouches down beside me and starts patting my back gently.
"Breathe." He said.
"Slowly." He took my left hand and squeezed it as I slowly breathe in and out.
The boy with ash gray hair named Asher was looking at me with a worried face.
Jesus Christ! I don't wanna die because of a ball shattering the school's window!!
"One more time." Brother whispered.
I inhaled and exhaled slowly and my loud and strong pulse slowly faded.
I gasp for air and choked and brother pats my back.
Is God playing with me?
I know that I said that my life is boring and nothing exciting is happening at all...!
BUT!
I DIDN'T WANT THIS 'EXCITING THING' TO HAPPEN!
Brother clicked his tongue as he saw my left palm with small pieces of glass piercing through my skin and blood flowing out.
"Oi! What happened??" A teacher asked, and when he saw me his eyes widened in shock.
"We're taking her to the infirmary, I'm backing out of the game." Brother said as he slowly makes me stand up.
My weak lungs! Please! Just please don't get any worse just because of this!
"Sir, We're going to take my sister to the infirmary, please find a substitute for us." Brother added as he looked at Asher's way.
"Help me take my sister to the infirmary." Asher slowly nods and walks with us as I shoulder my brother as a support to me while brother has his arm around me.
Bitch.
Since when did I became a limping girl?!
