Chapter 10 - chapter: 10

Saudo walked out of the Auction House with a bag of Gold coins on his waist. Every step made a small noise from the coins moving.

'I have to get to the Bank to deposit these coins before I get robbed.'

Saudo turned into the bustling main street as countless vendors line the street advertised their wares. Saudo pulled out of the main street and into the back alleys of the city. He navigated the alleys with precision and ended up at his destination in relatively good time.

Saudo looked at a building around the size of a hotel and entered the building. Starting at the entrance there was guard outfitted in thick metal armor. Even though the armor was only Rank B the shear number of guards which was about 70 guards made up for the Rank difference.

Saudo walked up to the clerk that he noticed and waved at her as he approached her. She also saw Saudo and waved back at him from her desk.

"Hi Saudo how are you doing today?"

Ela waved at Saudo her delicate hands swinging through the air trying to catch his attention. Ela was quite small being a head or two lower than Saudo despite being the rip;e age of 19. She had a cute frame and wore a long sleeve and small skirt provided to all the bank workers which showed off her small 'assets'.

Ela was always treated like a child by the other worker and some customers but due to her overbearing attitude the few hours Saudo spent with her getting introduced to the bank made her feel more like an older sister than a child.

"Hi Ela I'm doing fine I just came to talk to you about something."

"Yeah sure what do you need to talk to me about?" Ela said while slapping Saudo in the back.

"Umm its about making a private bank account."

"Sure I can help you make it but why do you need a private bank account?"

"I just want to store some money just in case I live long enough to retire."

***

"Ok that should be it. According to our agreement you will be depositing and withdrawing money from this bank account and obviously it will be anonymous."

Ela brought out a bright blue stone, it had to have some sort of magical attributes to it.

"This is what is gonna be keeping track of your deposits and withdraws. Once you sync with it only you can open it and you can also take it with you anywhere so you can get money on the go. Think of it as a purse of some sort. But don't forget that the bank also has access to it. Don't worry we won't take any money but since we give out a lot of loans you will gain money from the paid loans as we may need to use a small amount of your to give out the loans. You will be making money without trying."

"Cool. That was all I came for so thank you for helping me."

I grabbed the blue stone shoved it into my backpack with the bag of money and left.

"Don't forget to come back to the bank if you need any money!" Ela yelled after Saudo as he left.

Saudo pulled out the stone and the money bag out of his backpack he started tot put the Gold coins in the stone a few at a time and it kept on taking the money. Next he tried grabbing a 3 Gold from the stone and when he thought of it while holding the stone the coins appeared in his hand.

'I guess I should go buy a Rank D dagger so that I can be prepared but it also looks reasonable that I have it. Plus I think I might find something good with Pinky's LUK stat upgrade'

Most people don't try to raise the LUK stat because to raise any stat you would have to preform a task like if you wanted to raise your STR you would need to use your body strength or if you wanted to raise your MAG you would need to preform more MAG.

LUK has to be the hardest stat to raise because there are only two ways to raise it. One is to survive life threatening moments. Like if you are on deaths door and mange to survive it your LUK stat would increase or you would need to gamble. Although gambling only increases you LUK very slowly it is much safer but most people don't have the money to waste on that.

Due to all these factors there are very little people more less adventurers who make use of the stat so whoever has a higher LUK stat can make very good use of it, if its finding a better deal or dodging death people. So the +60 LUK from Pinky was a great bound towards a easy life.

Saudo made his way through the tightly knitted street all the way to the vendors on the side. Sure you can find more reliable items from store that have a building but if you need something cheaper going to the small vendor tents is better.

From a distance Saudo noticed a tan tent that was selling cheap items that are made for the Thief class. He made his way through the crowd and got to the tent. It was not the largest tent but it was filled to the brim with weapons and armor only made for Thief's. You could see daggers and cloaks made in every shape and size and from different metals and leather.

"Hello young thief you seem to be searching for some weapons and armor. Well I have just what you need, I have items from Rank E-A and I am selling them for a decent amount lower than most stores." said the old man who runs the vendor

Saudo was looking for a diamond in the rough so that he can have a little something for the next expedition tomorrow. He gazed over maybe 100 weapons looking through each one carefully. Even though he saw a few he really liked he didn't choose them because it was to high Ranked and if he had it he might get robbed.

Finally he choose a Rank D dagger made out of a steel alloy and a cloak that had a higher resistance to physical damage than his tattered cloak.

"That will be 90 Silver and 20 Copper Sir." said the old man as he put the two items in a bag for Saudo.

Saudo gave him one coin took his change and went along his way back to the inn they were staying at.

On the way there he saw Mason and said hi to him and they began talking about what they did after the expedition today at the Slime fields.

Mason went to a bar to drink with some of the money he got from the expedition and then added the rest at the bank.

"You were at the bank too. I was there talking to Ela about my finances so that when my time come I can retire."

"Haha Saudo your a big joker like we'll ever retire if we do bad we either die or stay in dept if we do good we keep making money till we have a fortune am i right?"

"Huh I guess you are right but I really do want to settle down after I work as a adventurer for at least 10 years."

"Wow big dreams huh. Well cheers to that."

They were now at the inn talking in front of their rooms. They need to rest so they said goodnight but it wasn't over for Saudo since he was the leader in the battle party he needed to plan for tomorrows expediion because they can't just leach off of Akiko's advice forever.

'I think we should go back to the Slime fields tomorrow.'
