The stars... The bloodbath...
The smell of burning temples...
Him...
Panicked rose through me.
Nikkos... Where's Nikkos?!
Before I utter a word, he was suddenly behind me. A bundle of my hair was clasped tightly around his hand. The other holding a dagger, its hilt was carved into a shape of a serpent eating its tail. The auroboros. And to my horror, the blade's tip was dangerously dipped with what I could only make out as ambrosia. I was enveloped by rage as I struggled to get loose. But it was no use. What little strength I have was no match on him. He didn't even flinched. Instead, he chuckled. I clenched my teeth. This traitor finds this amusing.
"Hush, now. There's no escaping, really." He leaned closer, his face only inches from my neck. Then in a slow manner, he took an intimate intake of breath, earning an audible gasp from me. His lips traveled from my neck to my ear, but not touching my skin. As he spoke, his words sent tingles throughout my body, slow and deliberate. I shivered in disgust.
"You'll be in Elysium soon...sister." A sound of mock sympathy was evident on his voice as he plunged the dagger to my back.
