On the island.
"Welcome back Everyone to the final battle. Two gods would duke it out to determine the fate of your world. It's going to be bad, it's going to be bloody but it's going to be hella fun" Gesdor boomed, clearly excited.
"My Lords, would you mind?"
"Of course not" Bosar replied, smiling. He and his two brothers produced their creation Orb. It was a transparent fist sized orb. They tapped it once and a staggering amount of mana flowed from it.
It surrounded the arena and created a small cage, lifting the arena to the atmosphere. Tons of projected images appeared around the world and everyone stopped what they were doing to watch the fight.
Ilerisa was geared up by his assistants. He wore a golden armour that made Cricador, the god of the forge, gnash his teeth. He held a wooden staff that made Gesdor glare at him and a jasmine necklace that made Jaseria's eyes cold. He held a flaming sword, which belonged to Csetor and Hades.
"Kill him Dryad" they said coldly.
"Ooh, this is so exciting" Lithit, goddess of chaos clapped her hands, her eyes twinkling.
Dryad was decked in a black gleaming armour made by the god of the forge. Her long hair was shortened and she had a large emerald in her forehead.
She materialised a green sword in her hands and a level 10 curse seed. It wasn't possible to upgrade it before but after 10 years, she was finally able to do it.
The seed was black in color and kept pulsing like it was alive. She grinned and dropped it on the arena. Almost immediately, all the arrays in the arena were destroyed and giant trees sprouted from the ground.
"START" Gesdor boomed and they launched at each other at the same time.
Dryad used the sturdy vines to attack Ilerisa and the latter used the flamimg sword to negate the attack. He waved the staff in his right hand as he cast a spell.
[Flood Dragon] he chanted and the Jasmine pearl lit up with a blue color. From the surrounding water, a huge water dragon was formed and it roared loudly, rushing at Dryad and her trees.
She cast a spell of her own. [Nature's protection] a huge wall made out of tree mass was formed and blocked the attack from the god. Ilerisa's spell soon dissipated after he felt his mana was being siphoned through his connection with the flood dragon.
He leaped and ran forward to cut the wall down. Dryad dismissed her spell and met his charge with her Emerald sword. They exchanged about a thousand moves, moving in and out of space as they fought but not out of the planet.
A quick look at the battle showed that Dryad was losing the melee combat. Ilerisa was physically strong and his speed was a dreaded feature of his. He never left a chance of retreat for Dryad and all his moves were to kill.
He drew first blood while Dryad was occupied with reviewing her strategy. She faltered for a few seconds but that was enough for Ilerisa to put some more cuts on her.
[Nature's embrace] she chanted and a giant leaf materialised, quickly swiping her and returning her to her mass of trees.
All the cuts on her body healed fast and she frowned.
"He's fast, strong and cunning. Well versed in the art of war and has strong instincts. Now I kmow why he's a headache. Nevertheless, if it's to become a painkiller, I'll do anything it takes"
Giant wings materialised from her back, making her look like a green fairy. A whitish coloured energy surrounded her turning her eyes and sword white. A white book appeared in front of her flipping rapidly before settling on a page written with blood.
Dryad begun to chant in an ancient tongue, a huge amount of mana gathering around her. Every living creature in the planet fell to the ground, their bodies rapidly turning grey.
"What the hell is she doing?" Hades asked, alarmed.
"She's channelling worship energy" Bosar replied, making them all sigh in relief.
Suddenly everything stopped. Time and space halted, freezing everything but the gods. Dryad's true eyes which were always closed, snapped open.
[Eternal Destruction] a wormhole appeared over her head and all the energy she had gathered was sucked into it. Alarmed, Ilerisa created a huge translucent shield. When all the energy was siphoned from Dryad, the wormhole disappeared, shocking everyone.
Dryad's true eyes closed and she rapidly fell from the sky. Both shadow and Ilerisa lunged for her, one to save her and one to kill her. Suddenly, Illerisa couldn't move and was stuck in place. A giant wormhole appeared above him the same time shadow caught her mistress.
"Lend me your strength my companion" Dryad said weakly and shadow nodded. The two began their fusion. Meanwhile, Ilerisa was stuck in a storm of chaotic mana and energy that was constantly wearing him down and causing extreme pain.
The fusion ended the same time Ilerisa cancelled the spell. He looked worn and extremely pissed. He chanelled his own worship energy and shot bolts of it at Dryad. However she abosrbed it into her own body.
Dryad was a sight to behold after the fusion. One half of her body was emerald green and the other half, pure black. She approached the god with vengeance in her eyes.
"Ilerisa, you have committed a grevious crime and offended this goddess by invading her land and ravaging it in your selfishness. You have drawn my ire by tormenting my people. I find you guilty and judge you. Book of judgement, heed my call and punish this evil doer" she said in an otherworldly voice.
A pure white book appeared in front of them, with its pages flipping rapidly. When it reached the last page, it turned into a white light and with a loud screech, rushed at Ilerisa.
"JUDGEMENT OF THE GODS" Dryad screamed and the white light blinded all of them.
"Is that a law? The law of Karma?" Ariama asked incredulously. No one responded but there was undisguised horror in their eyes. When the light died down, Ilerisa was in his soul form, a celestial pond made of golden water. His physical body had been destroyed and his soul form was barely holding on.
While Simour imprisoned Ilerisa and returned the items he stole, Ariama rushed to the two ladies sprawled on the floor, heavily exhausted. Shadow smiled at her lady and dissipated, her energy flowing into Dryad.
Dryad's eyes snapped open and she saw Ariama's worried face, hovering over hers.
"Is it over?"
"Yeah"
"Good, cos I don't think I would've gone on for much longer. Where's shadow?"
"She's gone. She used her remaining energy to keep you awake long enough to get back to your body. I'm sorry"
"Let's just go home. The sooner I get to my body, the sooner I can bring her back"
Admist loud cheering, the couple returned to the island where their journey begun. The planet was finally cleansed and named Eden. Dryad, the tree of life and goddess of trees, established her rule and the planet flourished for a very long time, finally making it an upper tier world.
As for the weird couple, they lived happily ever after. Well as happy as a man can be, marrying a tree. The end.
