Ru had no idea that her words had become like a ray of hope that shined brightly on Xiao Zhi Ren's heart. He wasn't talking about his mother at all. He asked why 'she' left him. But the way Ru told him that people leave so that universe could conspire for them to meet again, made his whole world lighten up.

While walking back, she heard Jack's voice from the earpiece, "Master, mission accomplished!" Her jaw tightened as a vein twitched on her forehead. She so wanted to smack Jack's face for using such an old fashioned way. But she held it in. She'll have to wait until the end of the banquet before teaching him a lesson.
