Rita was confused for a moment hearing his words, then she thought for a while but couldn't remember who this man was and just stared at him.
Alan was not surprised by her reaction, he clearly knew that she would not recognise him as a young boy to whom she clung whenever she saw the ferocious warden. Those memories took him to the unpleasant past he spent in the foster home in hide from his dad. At the age of 11, he witnessed the death of his mother who was shot by his father. So he ran away from his father and ended up in a foster care by hiding his identity. Hearing the whispering sounds around him, he cam back to his senses.
Rita suddenly replied that "I don't know any thugs like you."
On hearing this he realised she was the same from before. "Don't worry sweetheart, I'll make sure you remember me." he said and left the hall.
Rita felt a strange kind of pain in her heart which cannot be explained. Suddenly she realised it's not safe to stay here anymore. She grabbed her things and left the place.
She reached her tiny studio apartment which had hardly 15 square feet space. She was tired but couldn't stop thinking about today's incident. She just thought to ignore it and went to freshen up before having some sleep.
While sleeping Rita shivered, she had a dream about her past when she was a seven year old kid. Her parents died in air crash and she was sent to foster home. She was not a kid to be satisfied easily as her parents always doted her. Whenever she cried warden used to scare her with his fearsome face and large body.
One day she saw an handsome young boy around the age of eleven or twelve sitting alone in a corner. She went to him and asked "Hey big choco boy, why are you sitting alone?". He saw her face but didn't reply anything. She frowned and saw the warden coming out of his small office. She suddenly grabbed the boy's hand and asked "Hey if you are not busy then be my guardian angel and save me from that scary old man." He didn't say anything but pulled her behind him to hide her from the warden. After few months two men came and took that boy. She thought he was adopted and resented him for leaving without a goodbye.
Suddenly, alarm rang and she forgot about her dream and hurried to get ready to attend her classes.
Alan couldn't forget her, he went to the mirror and saw the reflection of the tattoo of Zeus as he promised the little girl to guard her. So, he wanted to be as Powerful as zeus. she insisted that she also wants to have a tattoo on her neck but he didn't want her to get hurt. He chose a small musical note and said "your voice is pretty, you'll become a great singer".
She stared him and said "I don't know how to sing." he just laughed and said "Don't worry, my mom taught me music ,I'll teach you".
He then came back to reality and thought that she was no more that cute little girl but a grow women who never fails to catch his attention. Then he muttered, " your guardian angel always here to protect you".
