Chapter 44 - Grandpa (4)

Honestly, she couldn't describe what she felt knowing that she was not alone, that she still has a blood related family.

She felt alone when her grandfather died in her past life. Even though her childhood friend was making effort to spend her free time with her, she felt it was not enough.

Her grandfather took a huge part from her life when he passed away.

Everything that she did, her goals and her dreams are for her grandfather to enjoy life without worries; that's why she works so hard to reach it.

When he left her and laid in peace, she didn't know what to do anymore. She didn't know what direction she must take; she was like living without a purpose.

She misses her grandfather, the one who raise her.

Ai Fei stood up suddenly, "grandpa?" she whispered.

'His face… I can't remember" Her heart thump loudly inside her chest.

Her hands were shaking as she unconsciously grips the cookie she was holding breaking it into pieces.

She immediately went to her study room leaving the snack in the living room.

She was hoping that she could find her grandfather here since the Author associate this novel to her past life.

She open her laptop and searching the name, 'Han Wen Ren' but there's a lot of results. She looks every result but none of it was her grandfather.

She grabs her sketch book and tried to draw her grandfather but her memory of her grandfather was hazy.

She bit her lower lips as tears slowly falling from her eyes.

She realizes that her memories in her past life were fading and she was scared. She didn't want to forget her grandfather.

She was getting frustrated as she focuses on drawing her grandfather but she couldn't finish it. She rests her arm in table and laid her head on it. She couldn't help but to cry harder.

It took her a few minutes to calm down.

She looks at to the mirror.

Her eyes were still glassy and her nose was painted in light red giving color to her pale skin. She wipes her tears then notices her phone in the table.

'Maybe he can help' she thought after remembering that they exchange phone number when they were in the charity event.

It took three rings before he answered, "hello?"

"Lei?" she says.

"Are you crying?" Lei the man who likes to wear haori asked, "Are you okay?"

"No…" her voice was hoarse after weeping a while ago, "…I'm okay"
