Wang Nuonuo, the granddaughter of Wang Ji, the chairman of Loki Heavy Industry on Purple Jade Star, owed her status to the excellent properties of minerals in the outskirts of the Federation plus her grandfather Wang Ji's foresightedness, making Loki Heavy Industry the largest supplier of special materials and reactive armor in the fourth administrative district.
Her father was a Colonel in the Defense Department's Intelligence Division on the Capital Star! You could say this little princess was born with a silver spoon in her mouth.
At this moment, in a lavishly decorated villa beside Tianhua Avenue on Purple Jade Star, in the living room on the first floor beneath the dazzling light of a crystal chandelier, Wang Nuonuo sat on the thick sofa sulking, squeezing the bear doll in her hand, her white legs peeking out from under her pajamas kicking restlessly.
"They're all liars! Promised me a cheering banquet, promised to take me shopping! In the end, Chuchu only gave me an apple, wishing me to find a good man in college! What on earth is that! The most unreliable, heartless girl is more reliable than my family! No, no, no, that girl can't be trusted either! Exams are near and she's not even serious!"
"Hmph!" She tossed the toy up, kicked it away with her long legs, and picked up a mecha model from the coffee table, talking to the mini, rose-red mecha in her hand.
"Begonia! Aren't they terrible, just bullying me! I'm already grown up! Seventeen, almost an adult! The big exam is coming, yet they aren't worried at all..." She twisted the mecha's arms back and forth, suddenly her voice became squeamish.
"Oh, seems like I forgot Grandpa said I've been given a direct admission..."
"But they still can't ignore me! I won't stand for it!" Wang Nuonuo rolled around on the sofa, all the servants were driven away today so she could fiddle to her heart's content.
"Click!" She accidentally broke the mecha's arm, the rolling stopped, her goddess-like silhouette frozen.
"Wuwuwu~ I'm so sad, guess I'll go have a battle." The last sentence blurted out illogically, Wang Nuonuo slapped her cheeks, excitedly left the model, and strode to the game room.
"PO Battle Network, the Begonia Corps of this miss has been waiting for action for too long!"
No one knew where she got it from, but this lovely, shapely beauty was filled with violence deep inside. From hand-to-hand fighting to mecha combat, they were her passion. Liking Begonias, she bought seven non-production-grade adventure-level female mechas in white, red, yellow... lined them up orderly, naming them the Seven-Color Begonia Mecha Group. Under grandfather's strict orders, however, these mechas gathered dust in the warehouse.
So what, since she touched the PO Battle Network at age 15, Miss Wang became unstoppable! Growing into a true five-star silver expert! Of course, in the game, she built a Seven-Color Begonia Mecha Group in the fantasy genre.
"The 17-year-old beautiful girl, Miss Nuonuo, has arrived!"
She flipped the power switch, twisted her body lying into the custom virtual cabin, her alluring figure hidden as the thick cabin door closed.
A short, chubby character named "Beautiful Girl Nuonuo" appeared in the PO Battle Network, too plain looking in the crowd to be noticed.
"Hehe, as usual, let's watch a couple of random battles first."
...
Over the past few days, Mu Fan was surprised to find the little fat one arriving extra early, both giving it their all without mentioning the usual morning PO Battle Network matches. Since the robbery incident, Harry started valuing training progress especially, watching Mu Fan's actions and gritting his teeth with the training hammer, yet only mounting a 150KG weight... From half an hour of exhaustion to now maintaining an hour at 250KG, it was a miracle in his exercise journey.
It was the fourth day already, Mu Fan tightened every moment for familiarity, training in the gravity room by day, last night finally breaking through the 40th gear! He dodged all 17 rubber bullets! Returning to log into PO Battle Network, Black wickedly told him a surprise awaited with the Fighter!
"What surprise, damn it!" If he had a fraction of Harry's vocabulary, he would say this. Seeing the Fighter meant getting beaten, though last time Young Master Wen interrupted.
"Visit again?" Mu Fan pondered, rubbing his chin.
"Mu Fan, bro, I... pant... really can't, I'm at my limit, let me rest, please." Harry had been holding the training hammer single-armed for a while, sweat soaking the ground.
"Um, one hour and five minutes, you've said that line for three days improving daily, now at 265KG, keep it up, Harry!" Mu Fan yawned, watching the timer.
"No, can't..." Harry collapsed like a tower, nearly passing out, Mu Fan hurried over to prop up the ever-diligent Young Master Harry.
"When did this young master... suffer like this, pant..." Harry panted like a bellows.
"Broken Axe." Mu Fan muttered two words.
"Alright, this young master will rest then fight another 300 rounds, I feel the fat fading..." Harry said with tearful eyes at his waist's lifebuoy, sighing in defeat.
Mu Fan sat down, seriously telling Harry, "I really want to join the academy exams, so I'm working to have enough strength to ignore any obstacle."
Harry cheekily interjected, "What if the obstacle is a boulder, you know, Broken Axe." He placed his obstacle before Mu Fan.
Mu Fan thought for a moment, earnestly said, "Then bulldoze through." He was sincere, though Harry had no idea Mu Fan was preparing to rescue him.
Harry never imagined his off-the-cuff remark would soon become reality, but now he pitifully plead with Mu Fan, "Let's enter PO Battle Network for a bit, I'm too exhausted."
Not hoping for the routine inquiry, Harry heard a heavenly answer.
"Okay, I'll visit the rookie training camp, you do as you like, see you in an hour." Mu Fan agreed!
Harry jumped up in glee, rushing out.
Watching the nimble figure, Mu Fan shook his head, strapping on the helmet to enter, today he was going to find the Fighter!
The scene shifted, Mu Fan sensed something amiss, realizing a metal short stick aimed at his head, mere inches away.
Meeting this instructor always showed his unfathomable depth, Mu Fan mused.
"Greetings, Fighter Instructor!" Mu Fan stepped back, politely bowing to the vacant space ahead.
"Hmm." The familiar shadow solidified, a tattered cloak appearing.
"Instructor, I was preoccupied last time, delaying entry, I'm truly sorry." Mu Fan reflected on his abrupt departure lacking return, due to Black consuming his time, feeling guilty.
"That ball informed me, I'm aware." The bass voice steady, unemotional.
"Instructor, you met Black? I desperately need time to improve, but it's truly scarce, Black outlined my mecha combat path, it's my only lifeline after choosing it."
"Not necessarily." The gray cloak's lips quirked up.
"Ah? But victory relies on mecha." Mu Fan pondered if the surprise lay in Fighter Instructor's coming words.
"Mechas ultimately depend on humans, so today, I'll teach a skill." Fighter Instructor briefly gave Mu Fan the answer straight.
"What skill?" Mu Fan eagerly asked.
"—Dark Breath."
