"Received," Black didn't say much more, then directly reminded, "Please prepare to enter the PO Battle Net."
Before Mu Fan could react, Black's sphere seemed to turn into a mass of light mist and then enveloped him.
"Hey, wait, I haven't set up my character or anything..."
...
The fat brother sat idly at the code-named Salmon newbie base, holding a cup of lemon soda, sipping away.
"Why hasn't Mu Fan contacted me yet? I specifically bought a teleport ticket back to the newbie base. This Salmon base should be the gathering point for new recruits from several nearby planets. Ah, time is so precious... and I'm wasting my youth, feeling melancholic," he slurped another sip of the refreshing soda.
The fat brother leaned back and gazed upward, not at the usual sunshine and clouds but at a vast, seemingly endless space city. Salmon Base turned out to be a space outpost designed as a modern industrial city, with floating cars crisscrossing in all directions at high speed. Newbies coming out of the teleport gate nearby looked at the fat brother sitting on the large steel pipe with a gaze as if he were a fool. This place was a simulated high-dimensional city set at minus 15 degrees; didn't the fat brother notice everyone else wore beginner's winter clothes while drinking iced soda?
The PO Battle Net strove to create an incredibly realistic virtual world, and alongside fighting, the construction of each outpost was of utmost importance. Code-named Salmon Base was responsible for gathering newbies from planets within ten light-years of Loga Star. There were thousands of such outposts, and the place where the fat brother was, was ranked somewhere beyond the thousands. Of course, the fat brother's mindset was truly unfathomable for ordinary folks.
"Fools, I'm an expert. Gotta have style. Those rookie gazes, would a silver 1-star expert like me be afraid of this bit of cold? Would a VIP customer like me lack warm gear? Bumpkins," the fat brother's eyes grew colder. With a pop, he sipped another gulp of soda.
"What an idiot," muttered a newbie passing by as he saw a fat guy in a tight vest perched on a pipe acting all cool.
The fat brother chose to ignore the greenhorn's look, frowning as he gazed at the floating screen in front of him. "No messages yet. Did Mu Fan forget my ID? Sitting here dumbly like this, don't I look like a Big Fool?" The fat brother looked up at the nearby newbies' gazes again, suddenly feeling like he might indeed look foolish.
"If he doesn't come soon, I'm leaving!"
"Ding-ding, a new friend request."
Eh? Someone added me—could this be Mu Fan? The fat brother heard the sound and quickly tapped his wrist device to call out the screen.
"What, Egg Lord?" The fat brother was a bit stunned. Didn't care about his own face, what a mighty nickname.
Looking at the ID, LB004LJXA778H2671, hmm, the initial codes seemed like they were from nearby star systems. No, if it wasn't nearby, they couldn't enter this zone. The fat brother instantly felt his intelligence brutally insulted. He looked around, ah, good, no one noticed.
"Hmm, this ID... don't recognize it." The fat brother instantly made up his mind and reached out his right hand to click reject.
"Oops, my hand slipped," the fat brother, holding the soda in his right hand, didn't stabilize his finger and clicked accept.
"Ding, received a new short message."
"Mu Fan."
"Mu Fan?" The fat brother's little eyes stared at the floating screen in front of him and sent a voice message.
"Yeah." After more than ten seconds, Mu Fan sent another message; no, just one word.
...
In Barracks 341, Mu Fan looked cluelessly at the floating screen keyboard in front of him, poking it with one finger.
Other passing newbies facepalmed and walked away. Indeed, the PO Battle Net was a magical place where you could meet anyone.
Mu Fan had actually been there for a while, but after entering, Black seemed to have vanished. It took Mu Fan a long time of pondering before he found the option to add friends, and it took him over two minutes to input the fat brother's string of ID.
Suddenly seeing a video request pop up on the screen, Mu Fan was dumbfounded; there was an option for this too?
He clicked accept, and then a fat face appeared on the screen, but it wasn't the fat brother.
"No need to hesitate, it's me, Harry." The fat brother looked at Mu Fan's curious eyes, "And, oh my god, you actually entered without adjusting your appearance."
"And also, your name really is you, you're Egg Lord, hahahahaha, you've killed me. This name is too mighty, you win, Lemon Balloon!"
Then, as he laughed, the fat brother saw Mu Fan's face turn black as the bottom of a pot in an instant.
"What did you call me?"
"Egg Lord, oh my god," the fat brother could barely straighten up from laughing.
Watching the fat brother, with the name Lemon Balloon above his head, laughing unrestrainedly on the other end of the video, Mu Fan bellowed in his heart, "Black Egg! Where are you!"
"Cough cough, be serious. At least I think your name is good. It has pizzazz and depth; at least I haven't seen it across the PO Battle Net all these years. Imagine in the future during a battle when the notification says 'Egg Lord slain XXX,' how cool would that be? Pfft, hahahaha, I can't hold it in; I give your name full marks."
Mu Fan: "..."
The fat brother rubbed his face, forcefully suppressing the look that said "I'm definitely laughing at you" and said seriously, "No more nonsense, check your wrist device to see where you are, I'll come to find you."
"Let me see, Salmon Base, Barrack 341."
"Alright, hang tight, I'll be right there."
Then the floating screen closed accordingly.
The fat brother stood up, rubbed his face, and loudly shouted to the newbies streaming out of the teleport point, "Weaklings, witness the supreme technique of the Expert, Instantaneous Movement!"
He crushed a 648 Star Yuan teleport stone in his hand behind his back, and the fat brother slowly vanished in a white light. Yup, when you're a rich man, you're just that flashy.
As he vanished, he caught the gazes of many staring at him as if he were an idiot... unfortunately, he couldn't hear what those people were saying, or see the person mouthing "Big Fool."
In the PO Battle Net, such instantaneous teleportation items were not cheap, but to Harry, playing needed to be fun. Delaying so much time running would be so unhappy, and if you're unhappy, why play? Of course, no one could deny the 648-a-pop show-off effect.
After just two or three seconds, the fat brother appeared at the teleport point of Barrack 341.
Where's the person? He looked up to see a similar space city configuration as before. On the newbie base, don't expect to see anything else.
Ding, friend "Lemon Balloon" requests location.
Mu Fan looked at it and accepted the request.
After three or four minutes, a streamlined version of the fat brother appeared in front of Mu Fan, who stood as stiff as a piece of wood.
"Mu Fan, your choice of names is really... courageous."
Mu Fan clearly didn't want to talk. This was obviously Black's doing, but after entering the PO, Black seemed to evaporate, leaving no trace.
"Alright, let's go. I'll take you to the training area. This is the newbie entrance for the PO, and if you want to get familiar quickly, it's best to visit the training area; they have basic operational training there." The fat brother patted Mu Fan's shoulder.
"Okay."

PS: Thanks to the book friend 'Tear of Mu Tian' for the 588 Qidian coins reward, and thanks to the book friend 'Yesterday's Beauty' for the generous reward.
Thank you again, book friend 'Tear of Mu Tian,' for the evaluation ticket!
(I spent the entire afternoon busy with A contract signing stuff, now I understand why many authors can only write one chapter today. It's so cumbersome, but luckily I finally sent out the contract before 5 o'clock. Now I can code with peace of mind! Leaving would not be where it is without the support of book friends, love you all!!)
