"The world wasn't a nice place to live in, at least that's what I thought... When life became a living Hell - We used to think that things can't get any worse like having to get fired from work or being dumped by the person you love... But we never knew what's worse.
Most people denied that such a world could really exist... When the infection was anounced by national tv, the goverment were the first to blame...
I believed that this would have happened by their hands sooner or later, maybe at a later cause...But because this happened by the hands of a Student most people didn't even know, It was practically impossible to know where the infection started and where did it came from... I found it difficult to even believe the first people to see it happened survived long enough to tell the story... We said goodbye to the love ones around us just as we said goodbye to the world we used to know... Things got out of hand fast and I had to say goodbye to two people who happened to be close enough to call friends and now their son is about to die in my hands... Can life really be any more fucked up than it already is? Let's find out...!"
Day 15 (21:13) Down Town Location of Patient Zero
"Come on you Fuckers... I'm Right here!" John shouts running out side with Bill and Roberto on his shoulders.
"We have to turn left at the Corner... They're falling behind, Maybe we should take a quick breather..." Bill said to John.
"No we have to get there now, This young man's life depends on it, besides I'm not losing anyone else today!" John said with pride.
They finally reached the corner of the street second main street and they turn left towards the first main street in Down Town.
"Give him to me when you start to feel tired okay...we're in this together man so just tell me whenever you need help..." Bill said as they both kept on running.
The nearly ran for 4 minutes without stop.
John decided to hand Roberto over to Bill and they ran again.
"We're almost there... Take a look ahead on the right side of the steet... Next to the post office!" Bill shouts as he grow tired.
"Wow wait, How can you even see so far in the dark?" John asked Bill.
"Ha... haha I can't, I just saw that broken robot pole and remembered a post office to my left and the drug store next to it..." Bill replied laughing.
The finally made it to the store and Bill locks the doors.
"Hagh... Maybe... oh haaagh, you know maybe we can... wait the night out here..." Bill said trying to catch his breath.
No... Help me find some light so I can get the right medication for Roberto... I know for sure that horde were following us, Within the hour they'll make their way here... We might not be so lucky again finding a way out so as soon as we take all the medication as we can get, we make a run for it..." John said looking around for something to help him see better.
"Ah man... does this mean we have to run for days?" Bill asked wiping the sweat from his eyes.
"I dont think so... We just have to get a few hours of gap between us and the horde and then change direction allowing them to bypass us... let's hope we don't run into other survivors soon.
The best way is to keep close and find some light... This might be risky but it's the only way.
Run accross the street Bill... While we still have time and get a way into that store, I believe we should find something there... hurry!" John said to Bill.
"I'm on it!" Bill replied and rushed out of the drug store.
a few minutes passed and Bill suddenly barged in with flares and a bag full of torches and batteries.
"What took you so long...?" John asks Bill.
"I ran into some company, so I had to take care of the visitors first... here's some light Find the right ones quickly..." Bill replied breathing heavily.
"Thank God you're not a smoker Bill, otherwise you'd be dead by now... Although I am a bit concearned about your heart stop beating..." John said.
"I'm totally fine... Besides I dying might not be such a bad idea thinking of the pain getting eaten alive..." Bill said.
"Ah Shit... I got the pills but the boy isn't in any condition to even swollow it... Grab a light and help me look for the injections, maybe we can find some around here..." John said walking into the back side.
Swiftly a zombie walks up from the left side and grabs John on his left arm and lean forward to bite him.
John grabs the knife by his left hip and stab the infected through the head.
"You okay?"Bill ask John shining the flashlight at him.
"Yeah... that really was a close one... I think I found what we need..." John said walking to a shelf at the back of the room.
"You grab every medication you can find and put it in the back while I rush to inject Roberto with this..." John said to Bill.
"Great let's hurry... I think the're gaining on us...!" Bill shouts running to the first shelf.
John sits down by Roberto preparing the injection.
"A uh... Bill! How strong is this shit? I mean how many do I give the boy?" John ask being confused.
"How old is he?" Bill asks John from a short distance.
"Let's see... I remember his mother mentioned something about him being 14 years old..." John answers remembering the stress they had in the truck.
"Give him 20... shake the bottle well...!" Bill shouts to John grabbing all the medication he could find.
"20 what? I'm not a doctor so please tell me what I need to know Bill..." John said frastrated.
"Listen man You get different sizes of injections that's a 50 cc max you got there... So look on the side and you'll see the 'ml' Then put the needle on the Injector and lift the back handle after you inserted the needle through the bottle's cap at the soft red spot on top and then you make sure you only suck out till the fluid stops at the 20 ml line... For it to work faster inject the needle pointed 90 dagrees front instead of down and press your left thumb on his forearm and wait till you see a big vein appear showing a green blue color... then you put the needle about an inch inside and then you apply preasure on the back of the injector and slowly take the needle out and apply preasure at the bend of his arm where you injected with a tissue..." Bill explained.
"Okay okay... I did it! So what happens now?" The boy isn't gonna wake up for a while so I guess we have to go now right?" John asked Bill.
"Okay I got everything... Let me deal with our 4 customers outside first and then we can make a run for it..." Bill said unlocking the front door.
Bill jumps out to bash the 4 infected's skull open.
"I'm never in busy this time of the night! Sorry we're closed..." (Laughing) Bill said killing the 4 infected while laughing.
John and Bill runs on their way out of town.
"Let's try some of the cars over there!" John points out the way as they run.
Bill manage to hot wire one of the cars packed with can foods and water.
They drove off.
"Avoid free ways and some of the highways as well..." John informed Bill.
"On it my great friend... So where we headed?" Bill asked John with a serene face driving the car.
John suddenly sigh and put his hand on Bill's shoulder.
"If you're going to confess just keep in mind I'm not gay if the whole dildo thing got you confused... I mean you're a great guy, but I prefer someone with tits as least bigger than mine... that starts from a C cup and you my friend do not qualify and even if you did I still wouldn't date you no offens..." Bill swiftly said.
"Bill would you shut up and let me talk, what the hell is wrong with you... jeez get your head out of your ass for a sec and listen... okay...?" John shouts at Bill.
"Okay... I was just saying though..." Bill softly said.
"Oh and to clear your whole thing, I prefer women too...!" John said with pride.
"Fuck Yeah!" Bill screams.
"Okay settle down... I already trusted you the moment you dropped that Dildo back in town so I need to tell you something important..." John said looking at Bill.
"I had some pretty awesome moments with that Dildo... Gonna miss that fucking piece of rubber!" Bill said with a sad voice.
"Okay... back to the important message! I'm gonn make this short so listen carefully... I met the creator of this pandemic's friend and he told me everything how this happened and I need to get to Universaty of Queens pretty soon so I can find the research that caused all of this and then I need to get it to someone smart enough to work a cure and stop this fucking hell hole!" John said and suddenly the car stops using fast break.
"What the hell are you doing Bill... Why are we stopping?" John asked Bill.
Dude... You really are a John fucking Wick... only a less attractive one and much poor type but you still awesome man... Please tell me when you're about to give me special information about a secret mission... I need to start a dairy and let some chicks know I saved the world, I might even get laid if I survive this..." Bill said looking at John's gaze of anger.
"Drive and don't stop... For one brief moment forget about your dick and start thinking of your brain... Can you get us there?" John asks Bill.
"Yeah we might be able to get there by by mid-day...
Coz we're going to drive till the free way and from there we're walking..." Bill said.
"Is there no other way?" John asks.
"For You John I'll fly this car, but there really isn't another way because the other exits are also blocked... head towards the free way is the closest way to walk there..." Bill explained.
"You know Bill, If your head wasn't so messed up... You'd probable be the best person I ever met... Gonna take a nap, wake me when we get there..."
John said turning to his left side and lean on the window.
for a moment silence breaks out as Bill drives.
Bill sits there looking at the road smiling because of what John said.
4 Hours Later...
John wakes up with the car empty.
Bill and Roberto are gone and so is the supplies.
John rushes off the seatbelt and opens the door.
He takes a look around and finds himself surrounded by cars around the free way.
John panic and hit the car screaming "Damn it!"
"Wow... Chill out John, I figured you need the nap more than you needed a bath so we got a new way car in town to drive... believe me far better then this piece of junk... We also did find a nice quiet spot to chill me an big Toe over here... I brought you some breakfast too, so eat up and let's go!" Bill said to John.
John ignores the food and grabs on to Roberto.
"It's really great to see you up on your feet again young man... Listen I'm really sorry for the lost of your parents I really am..." John said to Roberto.
"Mr. Richards I know you did the best you could and maybe I'll never get to see them again, but I'm alive because of you and if only Mama had listened to Papa... this would have never happened... I am greatful to be alive and happy Papa Called you over..." Roberto said giving John a hug and cried.
They gathered stuff from the broken cars on the free way as well.
The 2 and a half men walk their way into town to find the new car.
When the got down from there the car and other new supplies were gone.
other survivors were closeby and took it.
John and the others started to look for another car.
They found one and started driving again.
It wasn't long after they stopped for a while when they noticed two choppers flying above them.
The 3 jumped back into the car and drove north east direction towards those choppers.
About 5 miles outside town close to Kevin's neibourhood, the car stopped.
Bill gets out first and saw people in biohazard suits walking with one of the infected in a cage.
"Who are these people? Other survivors from the goverment?" Bill asked.
"No... I think these are Lab workers from a different country coming to do some research about the infection... I really hope they work out a vaccine..."
John said getting back in the car.
"You gonna give the research to one of them then?" Bill asked John.
"No... we can't trust them, to them we're already infected and so we need to get the research first and find a lab worker in this town as a survivor and maybe he'll be able to help so start the car and back up gently we need to get there now..." John said putting on the seatbelt.
"I take it these guys brought some of their Army so what happens if we run into one of them...?" Bill asks.
"Keep driving no matter what, Heading out to one of them... You end up becoming what you call a lab rat, And by that I mean you're as good as dead..." John explained carefully.
15:49 PM Day 16 of Infection...
"So we made it to the Queens, How do we get in? Take a good look around this place, it's packed with hungry fuckers and I swear to God it smells like the inside of someone's balls here!" Bill whispered.
"Bill would you please not mention 'balls' infront of the kid?" John said.
"It's okay Mr. Richards... Uncle Bill is really funny... (Laughing) Roberto said.
"Who do you think he is... Bill Cosbee?" John asks Roberto.
(Laughing) "Fucking good one John..." Bill said laughing really hard.
The 3 of them starts to move looking for a way inside the building.
After walking around, they manage to sneak inside.
A few infected walks around the hall while some stands in class rooms.
John looks on the board to find the research lab.
The manage to find it and walked in.
Bill locks the doors behind them.
"Okay guys listen up... You two need to look for a stick in this lab while I get the samples and start the pc..." John said walking towards the sealed glass part of the lab.
"Shouldn't you wear a mask or something going in there I mean you can actually die or worse get infected!" Bill asks John.
"I'm fine... Just keep looking!" John said to Bill.
after John Gathered the samples, he turned on the computer.
The computer shows blue pills and a password require field.
"Ah No... I totally forgot the password... Shit this is going to be hard to remember!" John said grabbing his hair.
"I found one under that desk over there..." Roberto said excitingly.
John remebered the boy said something about money.
"Building this place must have cost a fortune..." Bill said suddenly looking around.
"Bill... You are a fucking genius!" John turns to the computer screen and types in 'I am Rich Project' and the computer accepts the password.
John sees the file on the desktop and tries to load it on the usb, but the stick was full.
"Here... let me have a go..." Bill said taking over at the computer.
He swiftly manage to open the usb trying to find the hidden files.
"Ohhhhkay... time to see what's on this baby..." Bill said and double click on one of the files.
Suddenly two people pops up on a video and start to have sex.
The stick was filled with porn.
John quickly stops the video after Bill and Roberto watched for 12 seconds.
"Are you nuts?! We don't have time for this...finish up!" John shouts at Bill.
"okay okay... I'm almost finished here..." Bill said to John.
"That my boy happened to be the best 12 seconds of your life... it may also be the last porn you'll ever get to see..." Bill whispered to Roberto smiling.
The copy was up to 91% when the computer died.
"No... What happened?" John asked Bill.
"We ran out of power I suppose..." Bill answered.
"I thought you said using car batteries would work?" John asks Bill.
"Well it did work, but The copy took too long at least we have 91% of the data so we might as well move out, I'm sure the lab doctor will be able to figure things out..." Bill suggested.
"I really hope for the best..." John replies.
The 3 got ready to move out again and started fighting a few infected in the hallway.
They manage to get out again.
As John and the others stand on the spot where Kevin and his friends stood, they saw a car burning upside down and people being chased by the infected, who now knew how to run and others even climb.
"The Fuck is this!?" John asks feeling shocked.
"Wow... How are they able to do that, This is bad!" Bill said as they stand there and watch as people being hunt down.
A woman in a white coat comes running towards them.
"We need to get far away from here, no time to explain, Run!" The woman said runing with them.
the managed to get away from the whole mess.
Suddenly John stops.
"Listen to me now, whoever you may be, I need some answers right now! I need to know what those things were and how they were able to move so fast?" John ask grabbing the woman's arm.
"I'll tell you everything soon, first we need to get a great distance from this place so run..." The woman replied.
The started to run again until the grew tired.
"With those things out there... we might need a strong shelter to keep us in for the night so let's get going..." John said walking.
"No we need to find a car..." the woman suggested.
"Listen Lady I don't know who the fuck you think you are, but down here I make the rules and call the shots... I may think you know what the hell's going on but You have no Fucking Clue! I just watched both this boy's parents died in one day, people being eaten alive and children go down as the're being brutally murdered... You and your reasearched buddies made things worse, Now you want to order me around? Well... think hard before you believe I'll do anything you say coz whether you like it or not we've been keeping us alive and we wanna stay that way so go find your own car! See how long you last in this hell hole..." John said with pure anger.
"Look I know we messed up okay, but we were just following orders that's all... we were send down here to collect data hoping to fix this mess mayby find patient Zero... So they started doing tests on some infected... The made the vaccine a type of gass hoping it would work and then suddenly the all went crazy and one of the control panels went beserk and the doors opened... The A team who escorted us left us here to die and were given the orders to blow up the lab..." The woman said with a sad voice.
"Well that's great... your little Party got crashed so maybe blowing up af few infected like the ones you've created might be the right thing to do!" John said.
"That's what you might think, but what you don't know is that there are 4 huge tanks of gass still in that lab and when it explodes it will spread all across the city infecting all the infected... This will cause a Genetic Mutation causing different reactions all over the city... I called for a car so we could get as far away from the city as we can, because after the blast stops, no one is gonna survive the new Infection!" The woman said with a serious expression.
They started to move looking for a car until they found a red truck nearby.
Bill found the keys and the drove off.
"Are You A Science Professor?" John asked.
"I used to be... Until this shit happened, everything changed..." The woman said.
We didn't properly meet... I'm John Richards and these are my brothers - Bill and Roberto..." John introduced everyone.
"Pleased to meet you all... I am Diana Smith..." The woman said introducing herself.
"Look Diana I need your help, you need mine... We need to survive together so we can built trust... There are a few things going on in this side of America and I believe if what you say is true America might end up to be nothing but a waste land in less than 2 months..." So let's first work togethet keeping you alive and maybe, just maybe we can work something out.
The 4 of them drive together towards the north part away from home when suddenly a big explosion happens far back.
"It's starting... I'm afraid there's no turning back!" Diana said.
They continue to drive north getting as far as the can from the main City.
"Once Again I was proven wrong on how bad things can really get, The goverment made things worse, much worse... We're at one point closer to finding the answer to our porblem, but it also just became much harder to reach that short distance... Now I'm sitting in a driving car with only 4 normal people in a whole city and I wonder will this nightmare really end? The world once again is about to change and Hope for America is long gone and maybe soon the whole world... For those who already know me, I remind you that I'm John Richards and this is my story about to get worse!"
