One step, two steps... She heard them as someone walked on a hard sole, in her tiled house. It meant one thing to her and her view was suddenly soaked with tears with this realization. The attacker had won over Tina with shots and was coming for her. Her mother was gone. She feared more that she would be joining her mother, Tina, soon.
She heard the attacker's sole climbing the concrete stairs. Whoever that killer was, she was the next target and Tanya was not ready to die. She grabbed her hockey bat and pulled it to herself, she hoped her father's training will work. No sooner had her door been opened than she heard a car park beside their house, she hoped it was Raymond. She heard the door of the car shut. Seconds later, there were knocks on the door.
Under her bed, she saw the door to room open as someone came in. She saw the feet of whoever it was guided by leather shoes and hard soles, knocking the tiled floor of her room as this strange feet paced around.
"You know, Tanya, I know you are here. Just come out and die peacefully." A click from the gun sounded before she continued, "one shot will do, I won't miss your heart." The voice said. Tanya could make it up that it was a female, but why wasn't she surprised?
"Hello?" A voice sounded outside. Tanya recognized Raymond's voice. Why couldn't he break in?
"Hey Ronald, I just wanna tell you I love you too. Wish you were by my side. See you soon anyway."
Tanya knew what she was hearing. It was the message she had sent three days before to Ronald when she had locked herself in her room, shutting her mother out.
How did she have the message?
