In the girl's restroom
Smiling at her reflection on the mirror, Ivy was totally overwhelmed and thrilled, and also very confused. She realized that something was very wrong and frowned hard.
It seemed like something was trying to get into her head.
Ivy narrowed her eyes, and the temperature in the room dropped to the freezing point.
And then glaring at her reflection on the mirror, she smiled. The angle at which the corner of her mouth hooked up was perfect.
It was as if this person was full of disguises.
She shook her aching head and dazedly looked at herself in the mirror. Her hair was a mess, her eyes were filled with tears and she noticed bruises on her elbows.
Trying to hold up her tears, she said, "Bree, are you really making a surprise comeback, huh? Without even telling me? Of course it's a surprise, why would you tell me if it's a surprise, it doesn't make sense and I think I'm going crazy 'cause you are dead and it's been like what, eleven years since you last showed up so of course you're not alive then what is this, am I going crazy or am I going crazy? Wait, both of these are the same thing oh my god someone shut me up or I might.. really.. go crazy.."
She couldn't hold back anymore. As her tears started to flow down her cheeks, she said to herself with disdain.
I'm starting to think that I'm still too naive. I'm in a constant denial with myself. Let's face it, I'm miserable here. But it doesn't have to stay this way. I can leave it all behind.
Sure my life is far from perfect and I find myself wishing for a lot of things. But then I think of what I do have and I wouldn't give any of it up for the world.
If Bree was to come back, it certainly wouldn't be a good news for Ivy. Not when she wanted a new start.
All she was looking for in this new life were some good friends, good music, good moments she could laugh about in future with no regrets and just trouble-free fun.
But was she strong enough to get what she wanted? Her anxieties were starting to kick in and her hands were trembling with fear.
If Bree was someone she last met eleven years back, then this would mean that back in that time, they were 7 year old kids. So what's so terrorising about a 7 year old kid?
....
Kate and Kim Hana walked out of the auditorium looking for Ivy in the long corridor. And they were definitely raging.
If it was just Ian trying to converse with Ivy, they would've been so excited. They would've even started discussing about who would be her maid of honor. But clearly, that wasn't the case.
This super hot guy shows up out of nowhere and has the audacity to call her by another girl's name, blabbering about last night?
MURDERRR!
Kim Hana walked back to the auditorium door discreetly and dialed Ivy's number.
Luckily it connected on the first ring. She was worried that Ivy wouldn't pick up her call.
"Hey, where are you?"
"I'm.. in the.. washroom..", the anxiousness and breathlessness could be heard from Ivy's side.
"Is she okay?", Kate whispered to Kim Hana signalling to ask her if she was okay.
Taking a long breath, Ivy said, "..Yeah I'm good. Aren't you guys in the auditorium right now?"
Ivy noticed that the auditorium was noisy and chaotic, then how come it's suddenly so quiet now?
Kim Hana chuckled and stormed in the washroom and exclaimed, "No we're not!"
Kate slightly pouting her lips, walked in the washroom with one hand in her pocket. "What is wrong with that guy? One minute he acts super hot and the next minute he's hot and stupid!"
Kim Hana lazily stretched her hands and pulled a tissue out of her bag. "Yeah, I mean, I get it he's hot and all that but the drama he pulled back there sure deducts some points you know."
She walked toward Ivy and fixed her makeup which was when Ivy realized that her eyeliner was smudged from rubbing her eyes while crying.
She was confused as to why they were making a fuse out of this until now. They must think she's so sensitive to be crying in the washroom over something so simple.
Ah- so embarrassing!
"He also doesn't seem like the smart type. How can he confuse you with someone else? I'm betting he's half blind!", Kate kept complaining.
Ivy sighed hopelessly.
She realized that no matter what she said, they wouldn't believe her.
Seeing Ivy dazing out again, Kate was worried. What exactly happened back there? This must be just half of the cake. There has to be more of it.
"I don't know if I mentioned this before but I'm like really good at planning murders without getting caught by the cops and do you know that.."
But seeing them care about her, somehow felt like home.
