The scream released by Howick affected the minds of Long City's citizens, causing them to go insane as they started to commit acts of irrationality. Even the lesser martial experts were affected too, but they were immediately killed by the high level martial experts, who could barely resist it.
"What's ha... happening? We need to leave Long City, now!" The martial experts that had all survived were shook to the core. They understood the danger of staying in Long City for any longer, which was either them dying, or going insane.
"Wait! We hired you! You can't just go away like this!" Some of the nobles of Life Providence Empire had survived, as they installed powerful defense arrays. They were all shocked to see loyal servants of the household escaping without a single thought.
"What's more important? Life, or money? Life of course! You're just some distant relative of real nobles, I could always find another one!" One of the martial experts employed by the nobles felt obliged to explain it to them. They had hired him for around a year now and he felt a bit of gratitude to them, although his life was still more important.
"When this is over, we will catch every single of you and beat you up good and proper!" The nobles who heard this were furious. They were part of prestigious family lines and these small time martial experts dared to ditch them. Who were they to do so?
The martial experts ignored the nobles' incessant shouting, and continued to run across rooftops, the streets, anywhere, as long as they could escape from Long City. The martial experts felt that the threats spoken by the nobles did not hold water, since they were sure the nobles would die from the mysterious scream sooner or later.
Just like that, a scream resulted in Long City's order crumbling. Some of the martial experts even went into the high end shops to begin looting their resources for themselves. There was no one stopping them from doing so after all. Martial experts had to be very greedy to advance in their ranks after all.

Tang Peng could feel that his soul had been damaged by the scream, and channeled Yin Qi to recover it. The soul readily accepted it, repairing the cracks and imperfections that afflicted it.
"I can see you, Yin Soul. Was it you that killed Sylvia?" The demon apparition glanced at Tang Peng. Now that Tang Peng could take a good look at it, the apparition was actually a mist, which was constantly changing forms. The faces of a million people could be seen within its form.
"What a monstrous being..." Tang Peng came out of his hiding spot, revealing himself. In front of the mist, various Yin monsters were arriving at every moment and bowing to it. Even though they showed an expression of hatred, they still had no chance to resist the influence of the Devil Emperor.
"Was it you who killed my Sylvia? Hmm, too weak, too weak! My Sylvia would never have fallen to a man of your standing!" Howick spoke through the mist, using it as a vessel for his voice. Tang Peng just stood there, unmoving, while observing the mist talk.
"Sylvia must have sacrificed herself for me to absorb Blackheart. Oh, that damned fool!" Howick started to cry, a stark difference from his imposing mannerisms before. Tang Peng thought that he must have had a deep emotional attachment to that Yin monster, considering how violent his outburst was.
"Still, you're a contributing factor in her death. I don't have the heart to deal with you right now. Kill him. Whoever kills him will become my direct second in command." Howick ordered the Yin monsters that had gathered to kill Tang Peng, before the mist floated away.
"Yin Soul! Even if that damned bastard did not order us to kill you, we would have done so either way! This prey is mine!" One of the Demon Kings in the area, Grand Blue Sky, creates dozens of blue clouds and sent it at Tang Peng's direction.
"A small fry like you will never hurt me!" Tang Peng said this, before he disappeared. Even though the blue clouds reached Tang Peng's location and exploded into gusts of deadly blue dust, there was no target.
"Where did this panacea go to? Panacea, come out, I promise I won't hurt you~!" All of Grand Blue Sky's fellow Demon Kings rolled their various eyes at his behaviour. Even though they were Demon Kings, they were not as twisted as him.
He was an sadistic toad which promised his victims that they could survive if they would do something depraved. Then, he would use his Long tongue and absorb the life force within them, while laughing maniacally while spitting out poisonous mucus.
As Grand Blue Sky continued to taunt Tang Peng, the ground around him suddenly moved to the side, forming a hole for him to fall through. Since Grand Blue Sky was a deformed poison toad that was extremely heavy, so he fell through before he could react.
The dirt closed the hole after Grand Blue Sky fell. Then, a human stood at the position that Grand Blue Sky was previously standing at. With a cocky expression of his face, he said, "Who's next?"
"Grand Blue Sky disappeared just like that? I can't believe it!" The Demon Kings were trembling before Tang Peng. They would consider themselves on the same level of Grand Blue Sky. They could probably overwhelm the Yin Soul if they attacked all at once, but some of them would die.
The problem was, who would sacrifice themselves to let someone else claim the benefits. They were not on amiable terms with each other, and frequently competed for the life force inside humans and lesser demons.
"Whatever. It's not worth competing for. You can do whatever you want." The Demon Kings spoke to Tang Peng in the universal Lei language to show their deference.
"Good. Now get the hell out of here, or you will suffer even worse fates!" The Demon Kings quickly scattered, using their movement skills to get back to their places of origin.
After chasing them away, Tang Peng could finally swallow his saliva. It was tough trying to bluff them with the ghost's ability. He had used up around 75% of his stored Yin Qi for the ghost. Even though it had stopped randomly consuming his Yin Qi, the tribute he had to provide became much higher.
Since the Yin monsters were scared of his strength, he walked among them unharmed. He picked out three humans from the crowd, before grabbing them tightly and dragging them out of the crowd with him, while maintaining an aura of arrogance around him.
Even though the Face Stealing Monstrosities thought that the strength of this human was quite mediocre, they had seen his power for themselves, and did not dare to resist his grab. Tang Peng then slowly wandered through the Devil Forest, back to the boundaries of the outside world.

The ground in the deepest part of Devil Forest shook again and again. The Yin monsters were all shocked by this occurrence, as they had experienced some shockwaves recently too.
"Do you think there is something wrong with Devil Forest recently?" One of the more intelligent Yin monsters started a debate with the rest of the intelligent monsters.
A giant tongue then popped out the ground, wrapped around a Demon Soldier level monster, before being dragged into the ground. The Yin monsters looked at the tongue, pointing at it, before shaking violently.
"That Yin Soul tricked us! That dastardly fellow dared to mess with us! Despicable! Despicable!"
