25 minutes later...
"Typical we wouldn't do this... but are you all ready to rumble?! Now I know you all have some questions, however, before we get into all that irrelevant and boring stuff. Could the first-year students of Forbidden Blood, please stand up and make some noise as the 33rd Class of FB!"
The current vice president of the student council, Victoria Maple shouted at the top of her lungs as a smile graced her oval face as she wore a black and red blazer over a white blouse that had the school's embroidery of an intertwined FB on it. Along with a black skirt and a matching hat with black high heels.
SWOOSH! KABOOM! FIZZ!
Simultaneously just after she finished her introduction to a night filled with festivities and fun, fireworks exploded in the air behind her.
CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!
"Let's go!"
"FB for life! #1 School in the Nation!"
"Bro, I just knew this year was going to be spectacular! Just look at us, Millennial ain't got shit on us this year man!" A sophomore said with a chuckle as he glanced at the first-year students below, who were enjoying themselves at the orientation welcome party.
"Not to piss on your little moment, but I wouldn't get your hopes up too much as the batch of first-year students at Millennial are stellar from what I've seen. Plus, did not you hear ~" Another sophomore said as he approached Alvin and overheard his friend's crazy statement.
Yet just before he could finish, "Hey, um… Jimmy, don't you think it'd be better to keep such a statement to yourself." Alvin asked as he used his eyes to try and signal Jimmy to shut up.
"Huh, is something wrong Alvin? Is there something on my face?" asked Jimmy with concern and curiosity as he mistook Alvin's eye signals for something else.
'Sigh, just why is it so hard for some people to read the room?' Alvin wondered as he shook his head, "No, but I think it'd be better if you don't speak anything further about our opposition so openly."
"Oh... um, but you see my cousin just called me just a while ago, raving about how Millennial and whatnot was better than FB. Which was hard to hear, as you know Millennial would not be shit without us... but that is beside the point, you know what it is getting kind of late so goodnight, everyone."
Jimmy said after noticing how quiet the second floor was compared to downstairs, along with the death stares he was receiving from everyone as they waited for him to say something outlandish. So, they would have a valid reason to jump his ass and show him, whether Millennial was better than Forbidden Blood or not as they gazed at him like a pack of wild hungry hyenas.
That stumbled upon an injured lion, who in this case has no possibility of escaping or even winning. However, even though the joyous atmosphere was momentarily destroyed by an unnecessary comment from an upper-class student.
It did not profoundly affect the mood of the party too much as most people just dismissed the matter and enjoyed this moment of relaxation with friends and old acquaintances.

Meanwhile, as the first-year students of FB continued to act like kids on Christmas day…
Rin could be seen lying on an oak tree outside with his phone on his thigh and a pair of headphones lightly wrapped around his neck. While he enjoyed the slight chill of the lingering winter breeze with his eyes closed as he mesmerized himself in the solitude of the evening.
Far away from the lively and noisy cast of hyper-hormonal and pampered teens. Who finally got a chance to escape from their parents for a few years and finally find themselves.
Within this brief yet lengthy period that will either make or break the delicate balance held ever so firmly by a thin thread. That if broken could shift the fate of the land to a destination of damnation than salvation.
'Sigh... so I am officially a freshman, huh? Hopefully, this year will not be too stressful, and I will be able to accomplish most of my goals before the fall semester begins.' Rin thought as he opened his eyes and gazed upon the remnants of the sunset as it cast its final glory upon the world.
Just before he noticed Maze sitting on top of a building quite some distance from him with a cat nuzzled in her embrace.
"Hmm, that's strange… Maze, isn't usually the type to miss out on social events like this," Rin frowned before turning his head to the right and gazing upon an old friend.
Crunch. Crunch. Crunch.
"Still not a fan of loud places, huh?" A stranger asked with a smile as they held a glass of fruit punch in their hands.
"Hmm… oh, it's you," Rin replied with curiosity before it turned into annoyance as he looked up and realized who it was.
"Damn... is it so hard to be nice, Rin?! Like damn, the least you could have said, "Hi!" or something like, "So how you have been?" But anywho where's Timmy?" Ethan said with an obvious sign of frustration, before just giving up and asking about a mutual friend of theirs.
"Well, when you put it like that of course it would be hard to say, 'Hello!' to a fellow, who ghosted his friends for 2 years without a word. And just randomly pops up one day, acting as if everything is cool and nothing happened." said Rin as he stood up and made it clear how he felt about the situation.
"I... I-I, sigh I am sorry, but I assure you it was not entirely my fault, Rin, as a lot of things occurred because of your little stunt a few years back in New England. Plus, for some reason my father-"
"Enough! Dude, I could care less about whatever happened back as today marks a new year, so let us just put the past behind us and let bygones be bygones," commented Rin as he could not stand another second of this weird ambiance.
"Let bygones be bygones, huh? So... since we moved past that little siltation, where is your little friend Timothy by the way?" Ethan asked awkwardly after standing in silence for a while without anything to say as Rin was no help in prolonging the conversation.
"Well to be honest, I'm just as clueless as you," Rin replied honestly as he thought back to the conversation he had with Timothy a month ago, "However, he did tell me he'll be here before the semester finishes, so until then I guess it's just us too."
"Now that's just great… so what can you recall from your last conversation with him, as while he may have been a fool he was punctual... I'll give him that," Ethan asked as he sat down next to Rin and took a sip of his fruit punch.
