Chapter 70 - A Minute Worth 10 Years - Part 1

"Hmm, I'll hold you accountable for that statement."

"So, what did you need to warn me of as I don't have all the time in the world to be entertaining you, Fate?"

"Well, the planet you currently reside on is a trial ground of a Gatekeeper who died in the past. However, that is the least of your worries for it is the Eldritch who oversees this planet you must be wary of Pharaoh, so bye and good luck darling!" Fate said quickly as she did not want to take any more of his time yet before she left she kissed Pharaoh on the cheek.

"Huh? What type of bullshit-" Pharoah said before he momentarily lost focus following Fate's kiss. Not taking heed to the stampede drawing near him nor the smile of triumph that Fate wore on her face before she vanished with a poof.

Meanwhile…

'Oh, now this is interesting... so even an old relic has noticed the peculiarity of this world; I wonder if they might be able to stall those two brats for me? While I steal that slumbering fool's divinity.' A five-year-old tribal girl thought as she played with her friend Emersyn.

"Welp whoever they are, I just hope they won't be a nuisance like those two… when the ceremony begins," The tribal girl muttered to herself as she surveyed her surroundings before invoking her Heavenly Eye.

Yet just as she was about to spy on her new guest, her best friend asked her a question, "Did you say something, Venus?" She wondered as her best friend had been acting a bit suspicious today.

"No, I..."

"Don't tell me you...! Gasp, this must be the sign's mother talks about, so which tribal boy has the great Venus fallen for?! Wait, wait is it Samuel, that boy from yesterday who saved us from the jaws of a Sabretooth? Or Rue, that mysterious boy from last week, who is the son of a neighboring tribe leader? Or is it..."

Emersyn asked as she could not hold in her excitement as she jumped from one place to another like a rabbit in heat as she said one person's name after another like an automatic machine gun.

Until she ran out of breath, after naming all the boys of whom she could think who could have potentially stolen her bestie's heart. But just before she could receive the answer her best friend's mother suddenly shouted her name.

"Venus! Venus! It is time for dinner, you better be home quick, or else, no chocolate for you tonight missy," Her mother shouted from her kitchen window before she resumed preparing dinner for her lovely family.

"Sorry Emersyn, but I promise next time I'll tell you, bye!" said Venus as she hugged her friend before dashing home.

A few minutes later…

"And just like that she's gone... sigh, but truly this got to be a sick joke like how am I supposed to hide from an Eldritch? Codenamed the Watch Dogs of Heaven and Protectors of Reality, when I do not even have a fraction of the strength I had in the past," Pharoah could only say as he lamented his impending fate, yet beggars cannot be choosers.

So, focus on the time you got it now and deal with the problem once you cross it.

BOOM! ROAR! BUZZ, BUZZ!

"Fuck, surely my luck wasn't this bad in the past…?" He muttered before running out of his hiding and dashing into the distance, leaving the volcanic mountain range behind to only stumble upon a desert of all places.

Following the horde of hungry Ash Bees, Lava Tigers, Rock Vultures, Flame Wolves, and Volcanic Elephants trailing behind him causing the earth to tremble and quake with every step they took as the trees in their way were trampled to smithereens. While birds shot into the sky like torpedoes to escape this catastrophe.

Back at the village…

Creak.

"Honey, I'm home! Honey!?" A bare-chested and disheveled man wearing nothing, but a grass skirt shouted upon entering the household with a smile.

"Stop shouting, Charles, and go freshen yourself up! And do please take a shower while you're at it as dinner is nearly ready."

"Okay, Ma; but where's my little fighter?"

"She should be in her room, if not go try and look for her in the garden."

"Okie-Dookie," replied Charles, as he first freshened himself up before going on a little scavenger hunt for his baby girl.

25 minutes later...

Wheeze. Wheeze. Wheeze.

'This should be good enough...' Thought Pharoah as he stopped running and fell to the ground and passed out in the process.

Just as the horde of beasts behind him stopped suddenly and immediately turned around upon sensing a dangerous entity lurking within the depths of this deserted city.

"Hmm, so another brave fool has entered master's trial ground and quite an exceptional one at that… I wonder if they might be able to carry Master's mantle and bear the curse of Universe #024?" A person in 19th-century England attire with a thick British accent commented as they silently appeared before Pharoah and scanned him from head to toe.

'Hmm, while weak his potential is truly something else,' The person thought as they picked up Pharoah like a rag doll and returned to the depths of the city. Before that annoying brat stole his slumbering divinity and somehow managed to acquire his Master's legacy.

A couple of minutes earlier…

'Finally, I found told her... sigh, who would have thought she would not be in her room or the garden? But the treehouse is in the backyard near the back mountains luckily, I am the top hunter in our tribe. Or else Lilly would have killed me if I did not return with our daughter.' Charles chuckled as he tiptoed toward his daughter and spooked her, "Oh, Venus, I see you! So let the dead rise again and screams echo throughout the night, Peek a Boo!"

"AAAHHH! Stop, that was not funny, you are just a big meanie, I am going to tell Mommy about you! So, she can punish you," Venus exclaimed angrily as she stomped her foot on the ground and ran away from her father.

Before he could catch her or even notice, considering he was too busy laughing to pay attention to the attics of his daughter.
