Chapter 66 - Death? - Part 2

SWOOSH! ZAP! THUD!

"Gotcha," The voice laughed as the time froze once again and the lightning bolt which was about to smite Rin and turn him into ashes, came to a complete halt an inch away from him.

"…" Rin, 'Lord, have mercy upon me for I think my soul may have just left my body.'

"Sigh, it seems I may have gone a bit far… welp, I guess this makes things easier for me," The voice muttered causing Rin's Soul Palace to shake and tremble as if a slumbering beast was awakening as something within the depths of Rin's Soul Palace was unsealed.

Unbeknownst to Rin or the Silveria family, that led to the mysterious being sighing and clasping his hands together. Causing a grayish orb of light to appear in front of him.

'Sigh… hopefully, with this we can finally achieve our goal Noctis, and awake Ezekiel,' Pharoah thought as he shattered the orb and fused its essence into Rin's Soul Palace.

Resulting in Rin's soul mutating once again as hints of silver began to appear on the walls of his Soula Palace as he took temporary control of Rin's body. After, placing his soul in a state-like coma, where he was aware of everything happening outside yet could not influence it in any way.

Meanwhile in one of the palaces connected to the main castle on the of planet, Pago. A young lady with snow-white hair and blue eyes could be seen talking to her servant.

"Maddy, could you please contact Archbishop Ryan and tell him, I need to borrow Sunflower for an urgent matter?"

"Are you sure, milady as the borders have been quite chaotic very since the great Ming Family lost their power?"

"Yes, Maddy and please do tell him, I said thank you and that, I will compensate him for all the things he's done for this family and planet."

"As you wish, milady," replied Maddy, as she bowed before leaving to talk to Archbishop Ryan and fetch Sunflower.

A couple of minutes later...

"Hmm, that was quick?" Twilight muttered as she glanced outside at the starry sky while thinking about her younger sister's condition and just what they might have done to her.

'Forget it, there is no point in thinking about it now, I just hope when we see each other again, you will still remember me, Rose?' Thought Twilight as she sighed and shook her head, returning to her usual self.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

"May I come in, 2nd Princess of the Silveria Family, Twilight?"

"You may come in," Twilight replied as she sat on her bed.

"Greetings Princess Twilight, Sunflower Vanguard of the 3rd Region and Captain of Radiance at your humble service!" Sunflower said with a bow after stepping into the princess's quarters.

"Damn," muttered Twilight, the moment she saw Sunflower walk in her whose armor could barely contain her two water jugs.

"No cursing milady, it's unbefitting of your imperial status."

"Sorry, Maddy but you are stunning, Sunflower no pun intended, and way more beautiful than any sunflower I've ever seen," Twilight said after taking a good look at the five-and-a-half caramel beauty before her who had curly black hair and two beautiful dimples on her cheeks.

"Thank you, princess, but I'm undeserving of such praise as beauty holds no value on the battlefield of death."

"If you're undeserving of such praise then who is, Sunflower as you have done more for this planet than I will ever do in my lifetime," Twilight said with a slight smile as she stood up and performed a bow.

"Princess, please don't..." Both Maddy and Sunflower blurted simultaneously before looking at each other and laughing.

"Maddy it's okay, I was only telling the truth," Twilight said as she interrupted Maddy, her servant, and motherly figure since the time of her birth while not paying any heed to Sunflower's disrespectful conduct.

"Sorry, princess for my earlier outburst," Sunflower said as she realized, she could be stripped of her position or worse executed on the spot, "But if I may say something…"

"Relax, there's no need to feel troubled, Sunflower so please do speak freely here," Twilight smiled as she gave Sunflower the floor.

"Thank you, but Princess Twilight, what you just said isn't true as you and your family have done more for this planet and sector in just the last 10,000 years ago. Then any other King or Queen that once preceded over this region in the past, even King Walton the first king of Magnolia and rumored God of Magic cannot hold a candle to what you all have done for this planet and its people. So please do not doubt the contribution you, your sisters, and your family have made."

'Yet even though you may say all this, Sunflower my family is not worthy of such praise for while we may have changed the lives of billions. We also lead to the deaths of trillions who did not deserve such a fate, who were buried without a proper sendoff and murdered before they could even live their lives. Just so that my grandfather could live peacefully among the clouds in a glorious and majestic castle made of black iron & white jade.' Thought Twilight to herself before saying thank you and redirecting the conversation back to the true reason.

She even called Sunflower to her quarters, "Thank you, Sunflower for the kind and heartfelt words, but that is not what I called you here for today. So Sunflower, Vanguard of the 3rd Region and Captain of Radiance would be so kind as to journey to the Lower Realms and mentor a friend of my sister who will be attending Forbidden Blood?"

"Yes, Princess!"

"Well, then good luck and I hope to see you again four years from now, and may the stars be in your favor!"

A few minutes before Pharaoh froze time…

"Maze... Maze... Maze... MAZE, WAKE THE FUCK UP!!! As we do not have the time nor the luxury to be sitting here playing dead when the very destruction of our world is at stake, so get your ass up and hurry to your cousin's room. As the chosen one will surely have the means to counteract this catastrophe, so please get up, my disciple," Maze's Master shouted with a hint of panic in her voice before she finally managed to wake up her disciple, 'Thank you, my Queen!'

"Hmm, what happened, Master? And why are my eyes burning?" asked Maze as she tried to open her eyes yet could not as if someone or something was stopping her from opening them.

"For now, don't worry about it as you are not strong enough to expel heaven's power. Also, it'll soon disappear so just listen to my voice and follow my orders."

'Okay, but how did such power get in my eyes?" asked Maze as she did not understand what she could have done to piss off the heavens.

"You did nothing wrong, my disciple, it's just that some fool thought we could test Heaven's authority," Her master replied before trying to calculate how much time they had left, "Even though it's somewhat sad to say, we got less than three minutes to figure out a way to save our world before we become history."

"Okay, then what shall I do, Master?!" Maze asked.

"Find your cousin and everything else will fall into place." Maze's Master told her, prompting Maze to rely on her hearing and sense of smell to locate Rin, while her eyesight gradually returned to her.

Even though it might seem as if a lot of time had passed it only took like a minute for all this to occur, following the death of an Empyrean and Rin's slight encounter with Ezekiel. This led to Rin unknowingly ticking off Heaven and the rest of the Comos now becoming interested in the Lower Realms.
