"Li Na, are you fine?" Lu Jianjun asked reluctantly as he noticed her pale face.
Li Na barely registered his words as she forced herself to bring herself back and put focus on him. She stared at him for five seconds, vaguely recalled that he was talking about his employees and off day. "Oh, I see now...Is that why Ethan didn't come to pick you up today?" she murmured absentmindedly, her gaze unfocused.
Lu Jianjun's brows furrowed slightly at her cryptic response, but before he could ask further, he noticed her trembling.
Li Na, on the other hand, felt her heart racing. Her body shook slightly as in the back of mind restlessness coursed through her. She thanked her fate for having injured leg, clutching the edge of the table harder. If not for the wound on her leg keeping her anchored, she knew she'd have bolted out of the door in front of Lu Jianjun by now, her instincts screaming to march straight to the neighbouring villa and knock.
