With Lu Jianjun's arm extended towards her as support, without thinking much of it, Li Na reached out to take his hand. Just as her fingers were about to touch his, he seems to have change his mind as he swiftly pulled it back.
Startled, Li Na paused, and looked up at his face a look of outrage crossing her face in a humorous way.
Lu Jianjun's eyes twinkled with a rare hint of childish amusement as he curled his finger into a loose fist, "When I noticed you weren't where I'd expected you to be," he started, his voice laced with teasing irony. "I was at first puzzled about how you could even take a single step further. Then I remembered—you've always had a knack for defying my expectations." His smirk deepened into a grin and Li Na bit her lips realising he's grudging over that.
