Chapter 153 - Manly Talk.

The couple gets back home, to find both families waiting there inside.

As soon as Herald gets in, he senses the awkward tense atmosphere arround both parents!

'Well well well...Who knows what were they talking about before.'

"Hey there!!". He greets them, as Muruem closes the door.

Lumyeer. "My son! Welcome home...

How are you feeling right now?"

Herald. "I Am good dad, nothing to worry about!"

Floweria, his mother. Hugs her son and makes him sit next to her.

Lumyeer. "Thank you for taking care of our son, Muruem!".

Muruem, smiling. "No need to thank me, it's my duty!"

Herald. "What about you my uncle and aunt, how is it going?"

Muruem's mother replies. "Fine fine, we're glad you're okey!"

"Yes, we're glad." Her father adds.

Their facial expressions, and their tone was a little bit weird. which Muruem senses and signals with her eyes to stop talking that way.

Herald isn't the type of man to think much of such situations, so he thanked them for their caring.

After some little chatting, Muruem thought its time.

"Anyways, I guess it would be great to make a very nice lunch!

Am I right?"

Floweria gets up immediatly and with a smile confirms that, her mother goes along as well.

Lumyeer. "Don't tire yourself much, anything would do!"

Herald. "Yes we'd rather sit and talk all together, prepare something simple and easy if you would."

Muruem. "No that's not right, such occasion deserves a good feast!"

Lumyeer. "Hhahahahaha!! Can't disagree with that either...

Your daughter is a very delicate woman as always Mr.Jabari!"

"That is the product of our own teachings throughout the years!" Replies her father, with a proud tone.

Herald was thinking to himself how she's not that delicate in two cases, but it was better not to tell anyone about it.

Jabari. "So how did it happen by the way? it is a bit ambigious how you got caught up inside while Muruem was outside the building!"

Herald, being asked about it instantly thinks of the actual events that occured...That intense rollercoaster. It was even more intense than the previous invasion!

Too fast for him to even comprehend, but he quickly thought of a lie to cover it up. Although he hates lying...

"Well, of all moments i had to go to the toilet...When i got out the building already caught up fire!

the way was blocked, and the walls started falling down.

It was a very scary moment, luckily I found a way to escape without being burned completely...then i fell down on the ground at some point from the lack of oxygen.

After that I have no idea how i was saved, probably some fireworkers did that. We should be grateful for them..."

Lumyeer. "Yeah...We should pray for them as well!

An unusual number of them have died in this incident, the news said that some kind of machine exploded and resulted in the building falling completely apart!!

People are terrified of public places now, some even think it's a terrorism work!"

'Hm!

...Terrorism!

Why did i never think of it?

If people found out about who I really am at this point. Terrorism is probably one of the main things I'll be associated with!'

Herald finds it really ironic, and very unpleasing...That his dad of all people brought that idea to his attention!

Jabari. "Yes It must be!

The central cinema is well equipped, such event cannot happen just like that..."

Herald, kept silent until his father noticed him sleeping awake!

"It's okey son!!" He puts his hand on his shoulder.

"You're destined to greater things!"

Herald looks at his dad's face, and smiles back at him.

"Yes, I guess so..."

"Hopefully."Jabari adds to the moment.

But then,

"However, I think there is a very important thing we should talk about the three of us.

I realise it's not the best of moments, but it is one nonetheless."

Jabari became even more serious, and grabbed the attention of both father and son.

Lumyeer. "What is it?"

Before he could answer, Herald cuts the road short.

"I know, you're talking about my situation with Muruem!"

Jabari, still looking extremely serious.

"Indeed!

We cannot continue this way Mr Herald, you've been engaged for more than enough.

You're living with each other, just like a man and his wife would, I chose not to get deep into your personal life, but from the looks of it!

You seem to lack the necessary stability that we want our daughter to live in."

Lumyeer knows that this conversation is Herald's first and foremost. So he stepped back a bit.

Herald. "The necessary stability...

What makes you think that uncle Jabari?

I don't remember i have ever asked you anything beside your daughter's hand, I am sure that if I wasn't someone you trust. You would've not let me get this far with her!

What has flipped your opinion about me this time?"

Jabari stays silent for a moment, as he was thinking well of an answer that sums up everything.

"..You're right, you're a good young man with a lot of potential. But you have just confirmed my greatest fear...

You're oblivious to our daughter's feelings and situation!"

Herald did not anticipate this answer!

"...What do you mean exactly?!"

Jabari. "Sir Herald, Muruem may look fine and happy to you.

But we know for a fact, both of us as her parents...That she is not!

It started a while ago, from the times you decided to go on solo trips in order to find yourself and strenghten your mind.

That was more than a year ago!"

"But we..."

"LET ME FINISH PLEASE!".

Herald tried to reply but Jabari, was not done yet!
