Chapter 2 - 02 - Déjà Vu?

It's weird bathing in a body that's not yours... like, you feel that the body is yours, but you feel that it's not at the same time, you know?

*grrooohhhhw*

While I was drying up, my stomach snored hungrily. I finished drying my hair and looked at myself in the hope I'm not as ugly as I expected. Maybe if I lose a few pounds and do a skin treatment, I'll be at least acceptable.

I wore a blue sweatshirt from a monster that I can't say its name, it looks like a fake Pokémon and I took my cell phone to situate myself.

From what the cell phone says, the summer vacation started a month ago and from what the cell phone step counter is saying, I didn't leave the room even once. Looks like the old me avoided talking to the family as much as possible.

Speaking of family, I don't know what my reaction will be when I meet John and Sarah... I've never called anyone father or mother... I hope it's not strange. I don't intend to stay in this room forever as a certain someone. People must face their duties with open hearts without fear of the consequences.

With the strange blue clothes, I went up the stairs to my room that was in the basement and opened the door. If the phone's clock is correct, it's still 6:30 in the morning. Everyone must be asleep and I hopefully won't find anyone.

I looked around and it didn't seem like anyone was awake. Because of this Zy's memories, I was able to locate everything I needed in the fridge and closets.

The only food I could make now to calm down would be a good old Eggs Benedict.

I put the butter in the microwave to melt and started preparing the Dutch sauce. With the sauce ready, I start preparing the pochê eggs. At the time of the assembly, after everything was ready and I was about to start the assembly, at a glance I saw a little blonde head looking at me through the door trying to hide.

When I saw the little girl looking at me my body froze, I didn't know what to do. Instinctively, my social skills were active and saved the homeland again. My face opened a warm little smile on my face for my new little sister, Sue.

When she noticed that I was looking at her, Sue quickly hid behind the door for a few seconds, but quickly looked at me trying to see if everything was okay.

As she looked the second time, I didn't say anything and pointed to the plate I was setting up signaling her to look. When she looked at the plate, I could tell from her facial expression that she was hungry. Then when her gaze returned from the plate to me in doubt, I waved my finger at her to come to my side.

She took a small step towards me, but she stopped on time. The seizure could be seen on her face, but when her beautiful, round, light brown eyes looked back at the plate, the hunger spoke louder than fear and she came walking with small steps seeing if I would do something scary out of nowhere.

Seeing her reaction, I couldn't help but have an internal laugh. No matter the age, no matter the world, if you want to win a woman's heart, first you have to win her stomach hahaha. This only reinforces, even more, the reason why I learned the kitchen since I was not very handsome, I had to learn other skills to conquer the women I liked.

But seeing how Sue was acting worried me a little. If the little innocent child was already acting so worried about me... maybe the relationship that the old Zy had with the family was even worse than I imagined. I hope I don't get kicked out on my first day.

While I was getting lost in my thoughts, I felt my strange blue sweatshirt being pulled down slightly. When I woke up, I saw Sue holding her sweatshirt while I was pointing at the plate.

"All right, I'll be right there," I answered by understanding what she meant.

When she heard my answer, I saw a satisfied look on her little face.

I took the toast out of the toaster and put it on the plate. She accompanied me with curious eyes as I spread a spoonful of Dutch sauce on each toast. Then I put two slices of bacon and two pochê eggs on each toast, leaving the dish very nicely.

She was apparently salivating, but the dish wasn't ready yet, I couldn't let her eat anything incomplete. I sprinkled some parsley leaves and sprinkled a little paprika.

Seeing the beautiful dish in front of me, I couldn't help but say it quietly. "Voilà!"

Sue, when she heard the word, had a little laugh without making any sound.

"Shall we try it?" I suggested it to her.

Listening to what I said, Sue quickly nodded his head in affirmation. The smell that was coming out of the plate seemed to have stirred up her hunger even more.

Before I could say anything, she ran out. I was worried that I scared her, but when I saw her coming back I smiled affectionately on her face. She was coming back carrying two plastic stools, apparently for both of us to sit down to eat.

I looked at myself and saw that I definitely could not sit on that bench, or I would break it. Then when she sat on the stool waiting to eat, I bent down and sat on the floor with my legs crossed.

I sinned the dish that was now no longer so hot and with a spoon, cut a piece of Eggs Benedict and put it in her mouth. She hesitated for a fraction of a second, but feeling the fullness coming from the spoon, she quickly opened her mouth and bit.

As an aspiring chef, I can say with all propriety that for a chef, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing someone who has tasted his food go into cloud 9 after a single spoonful.

As I was about to put a spoonful in my mouth, I saw another little head staring at me through the door, like déjà vu of what had happened a few minutes ago.
