Chapter 1 - The Book

"You're late again Ms Evergarden, you should know by now to be early, or instead of disrupting my class don't bother showing up!" barked old Mrs Yeldworth, "S-sorry Mrs Yeldworth..." squeaked Phionex. "You now have to stay in writing extra notes because you missed half the class!" "Yes Mrs Yeldworth it won't happen again..." "better not!" growled Mrs Yeldworth. Embarrassed, Phionex walked past the practicly laughing students to get to her seat. She sat down and internally cried from embarrassment. Pretty soon the bell rang for the second lesson to end, they have a half hour break between there next lessons so she stayed in writing notes. God, kill me now, Phionex thought to herself as the teacher had given her extra work as well as the assigned tasks. She was going smoothly until one of the tasks hit her: When you grow up what do you want to be and why? And where do you want to live and why? She knew exactly what she wanted to be... but it sounded WAY to childish. What May wanted to be was the first-ever (known) female hacker! Or if that didn't work out she would be a software developer or a game creator, whatever she ended up doing she knew it had to be in sync with her passion- computers! She knew that sounded childish so instead she wrote: When I'm older I'll carry on my dad's family business as a dentist! And I'll stay here forevermore with my family! That last part was especially not true as she wanted to get as far away from them as she possibly could. The reasons behind that? Complicated, she never really had a strong relationship with her family because all her other siblings soaked up all the attention. It sounds super childish she knows that, she also knows since she's the oldest she should be responsible enough to not need to much attention, even so, it still hurts when your left out on 'family' outings. And she was only the oldest by a few month's so when she stepped out of line a little she'd be aching with hurt from her family's abuse!... Yet her little sister (who she likes to call the devil child) could throw tantrums left right and centre without even a stern talk! When she had finished all of her tasks she had about ten minutes left before her next class so she decided to spend it in the library. She was walking down the hall with her head down, avoiding as much possible social interaction. Once she made it to the library she carefully inspected all of the books making sure she didn't grab one she had read beforehand. She was losing hope in finding a book that grasped her attention and she hadn't read before, just as she was giving up on her search she saw the spine of a purple and blue book she was instantly interested so she pulled the book out of the shelf and took it to the quiet table area of the library. She opened the book to find all the pages

old and dirt with the first few pages blank 'Interesting....' she had thought. She flipped through the pages faster and saw a page which had writing on it, the writing was no normal now day writing, no it was written with ink it was obviously hand written which was confusing there were ink marks on the page so Phionex took it as they were writing in a hurry. The page read: 'He whom soul wandered apon this here message shall be cursed with the ever lasting curse, shall thee wish it gone, to no success, until the ever lasting light to rest... They who search high and low must open their eye's for those who need it most, greed and wealth shall not come freely, for those who sin will burn great and bright to free thow trapped soul save the burning world your help is gleaming...' Phionex closed the book still confused she said to herself "huh... Well people do say not anyone can understand the knowledge of a poet... But the ink.. A nice effect.." she put the book back satisfied with the book she started heading to her next class. What she didn't realise her life would never be the same as to before she read that book....
