The quiet whimpering sounded pained. Realizing her actions, Nora approached the bush. The whimpering became silenced as a series of tiny yelps tried their best to scare off Nora. She felt a wave of sadness piled upon her as she spotted two tiny puppies, scared and alone. They appeared malnourished and frail. Looking around at the twelve dead river wolves, Nora noticed that they too seemed starved.
"I hope you two can forgive me..." she had gotten a little lost in her desire for battle, that she forgot that even beasts have families. Everyone just wants to survive, to live. She picked up the two puppies, she made sure to cover their eyes as she brought them back to the carriage. Her actions were bad enough, she wouldn't let the puppies bare the sight of their dead pack. She took her time and slowly made her way.
As she reached the carriage, Stormskin spoke, "Those are some delicious looking puppies..." with those words, an eerie sensation of death began to irradiate from the ghoul. With a single glare, Nora eyed down Stormskin, "Don't you even dare think about it!". She was going to make her wrong right.
From inside the carriage, she heard the voice of Sev, "Hand them to me... I'll keep them company while you clean up the corpses."
Complying, Nora handed over the puppies and quickly made her way back to the corpses. Only to find a flock of black birds already starting to scavenge from the fresh corpses. It only took a few seconds to scare them off. Using her enhanced strength, she hastily dug a large ditch before piling the corpses into it. Before returning to the carriage, she pled a prayer for the River Wolves. Wishing them good fortunes in the samsara cycle. Whether or not the prayer meant anything, Nora would never know as she was in a far too foreign world.

Percy, in accordance with Great Mage Mirlie's instructions, met her at the front of the school at the break of dawn, a couple of hours before school would normally start. After getting dressed, he made his way down to the front, only to see Great Mage Mirlie discussing with a group of other teachers. They'd all come to praise Great Mage Mirlie for finally finding an inheritor. She'd been seeking a suitable inheritor for many years and most of the faculty had naturally come to know of it.
Unlike Nora's hasty escape in the midst of night, Percy found himself walking beside Great Mage Mirlie out of the school and into a luxurious ornate school carriage. They set off in high spirits, the gathering of teachers waving them off as they left.

Several hours had passed since Sev and Nora had continued their journey. The sun had started to crest over the approaching mountains, and the forest had begun to scatter and turn to plains.
Sev didn't even bat an eye at the two puppies, besides pulling some raw meat from his spatial ring to feed the puppies, he had returned to his sleep, seemingly far more accustomed to long carriage rides. Desiring to pass the time by sleeping above everything else.
Nora tried to comfort the puppies, they had regained some youthful charm after being fed. Even beginning to play with each other, their little playfighting sending them tumbling around the carriage. Seeing them so joyful brought comfort to Nora as she presumed they were far too young to understand their current situation.
After a few more hours, the puppies had long tired themselves out and fallen asleep. The pair of them cuddling together beside Nora. In their sleep the faint twitching of dreaming granting them a resounding cuteness.
Looking out from the carriage, Nora could see a vast plain around here. The forest had disappeared and been replaced by seemingly endless rolling hills.
Roused from his slumber, Sev awoke and peered out of the carriage, "We're making good time, we've already entered the Retford Plains" his gaze returning to the inside of the carriage, he noticed the two curled up puppies beside Nora, "Have you thought of some names for them yet? There is power, within a creatures name. Since you found them, I'll leave them all to you." a faint smile appearing on his face as he recalled some distant memories, "Wolves are always good companions, they'll always have your back..." lost in those memories, he soon recollected himself and spoke,
"We still have to pass through Retford before we make it to the Mage Tower. Mirle and Percy should meet us there within a day of arrival..."
