Aisha is stamped for words. She stops searching for a movie to look over at Brian with a confused look on her face. All she can do is stare at him as she is confused and does not seem to comprehend his question. What's running on her mind while staring at Brian with a confused look is "what supernatural? She doesn't understand his question at all.
…
Thinking that Aisha did not hear his question, Brian repeats his question once again.
" how did you get involved with the supernatural?
After a couple of seconds pass by without any sound, Aisha comes back to herself and asks,
" what are you talking about Brian, what supernatural? I do not understand, are you that wasted perhaps? You should drink lots and lots of water to sober you a little.
Brian looks at the confused woman in front of him and thinks that he might possibly be drunk. Why else would he ask a question like that?, but then again, he's wanted to know the answer to that particular question for the longest of time now, so he says, "of course I'm not wasted, you also know how much liquor I can consume without getting drunk.
Besides, it is a legitimate question you know, how did you come to have that skill? It has saved us numerous times and it just sounds so superstitious.
Aisha finally comprehends his meaning.
"Oh, that, I did not get involved in any supernatural as you put it. All I know is that I have had this skill since I can remember and I do not know how it came about either.
" All I know is that, from the time I entered the organization, every time I had this feeling, something always happened. Maybe even before I entered the organization but I do not remember anything before I was eight years.
" ya, I remember the first day you told me you were feeling unsettled. It was about two years after you entered the organization. At that time, you were about ten years old and I was 14. We had just finished with the hellish training by those devil instructors and I thought maybe you were getting the flu or something,
Mused Brian, out loud.
"You did.., which was weird enough, by the way, I mean I had been training for more than two years. My body was hardened enough and we always went for check-ups but you actually thought it was the flu. Thinking about it now makes me feel disappointed. Aisha says, letting out a sigh. Especially when I tried my best to convince you so you can be on the alert.
"Hey, you would have thought the same too given the situation. Besides, I didn't really believe in all things supernatural.
Brian says as he lets what Aisha said about being disappointed in him slide by.
He lets out a sigh as he continues,
" but what happened two days later proved your intuition right.
True, it did. That was some fucked up sh*t,
Agrees on Aisha quietly.
" Yes, it was,
Echoed Brian as his mind is pulled back to what happened on that particular hellish five days…
