Synopsis
In a world of superheroes, supervillains, and evil organizations, Wylven Argentum finds himself becoming one of the most minor existences in the world. A combatant. Combatants are pretty much regarded as just filler existences by both the heroes and the villains. Nothing more than just cannon fodder sent out en masse to tire out the heroes before the big fight with the villains. Their lives are very cheap and they are easily replaced. But Wylven was not resigned to such a fate. And his opportunity came in the form of a system.. ------------------------------------ Updating will be very sporadic as I will be very busy with work and this was just something I wanted to do in my free time.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

In a vast estate filled with huge fancy mansions and surrounded by beautiful gardens filled with all kinds of rare and exotic flowers, a loud discordant voice pierced through what was supposed to be a quiet Sunday morning.

"Trash! Good for nothing garbage!" Shrieked a middle aged women as she threw a wine glass at a young teen in one of the gardens behind the grandest mansion in the estate.

The woman was dressed extravagantly and covered in fancy jewelry. A rather strange attire for someone out for a morning walk in the garden. But the numerous maids who stood at attention nearby thought nothing of it. They knew that their madam loved showing off her fancy clothes and jewelry and it was a habit of hers to strut around in them like some peacock.

"Apologies madam. I shall have him punished immediately.." An elderly maid quickly brought over a new wine glass for the woman and refilled it's contents. Completely ignoring the teen drenched in red wine and covered with bits of glass who was trembling not far away with his head lowered. If one would look closely, they would notice that his hands were clenched into fists and were lightly shaking. But the people in the garden had no time to pay attention to this teen. All their focus was on the middle aged woman. The main thing in their minds right now was to placate her anger as she had a habit of firing people when she got angry.

"Humph! See that you do." The woman spoke as she held the new wine glasses and lightly sipped from it. "I don't see why Richard insists on keeping trash like you around. You're nothing more than a disgrace to this family. You and that filthy commoner mother of yours." She sneered, not even bothering to spare the drenched teen another glance as she continued on her morning walk followed by her entourage of maids.

The elderly maid who spoke before stayed back and sighed as she looked at the drenched teen with pity in her eyes. The young teen was named Wylven and he used to be one of the young masters of the Argentum family who owned this estate. A family known for producing numerous superheroes with the healing ability. Such an ability was rather rare in the world and outside the members of this family, the healing ability was practically nonexistent. It was one of the reasons why the family is held in such high esteem by the world and how they could live so extravagantly.

Unfortunately, during Wylven's coming of age ceremony a few years ago, it was discovered that he did not bear the family's signature ability at all. Or any special ability for that matter. From that day on, his father Richard started treating him and his mother coldly and they were both kicked out of the main residence. His father wanting nothing more to do with them. To add insult to injury, Richard's first wife Agnes, who was the middle aged woman from before, sent them both to live in the servant's quarters. Saying that they should pay back for everything that they receieved from the family over the years.

Now some would ask, "How could she do that? Why doesn't Wylven's father do anything to stop her?". But from the very start, the Wylven's father never really had any feelings for his mother. Their marriage was purely for the benefit of the Argentum family. You see, as one of the families known for their healing abilities, the Argentum family owned multiple hospitals. And it was through one of those hospitals that the Argentum family found out about Angela, Wylven's mother.

During a routine check up, it was discovered that she had a special ability. Injuries would quickly heal and she was practically immune to any virus or bacteria. The Argentum family thought that perhaps with her ability, and the family's own signature ability, they might produce a powerful heir with both abilities. So the Argentum family immediately arranged for their most talented member Richard, known to the public as the superhero Silverlight, to court her and eventually marry her to produce an heir. Unfortunately, unknown to the Argentum family at that time, their child Wylven did not have either of those abilities. And not long after giving birth to Wylven, his mother lost her own ability as well due to the massive physical trauma caused by childbirth. Drastically reducing their value in the eyes of the Argentum family.

And that is how they went from being valued members of the Argentum family to becoming lowly servants.
