Chapter 2 - CH: 1

Thousands of miles away, a man covered in black robe stood before a massive wooden door waiting to get in. From his face it was evident that he wanted to shove that door open and get inside, but protocols. Protocols are something which can't be broken within these four walls. No matter who or what his position might be there was no compromise in the matter of protocols. Protocols which were implemented for the safety of this very place he stood. There are enemies outside waiting for their downfall. Thus, alteration in the protocols were not left neglected.

On the either side of the door there were two men stationed. Heavy build, Black suit, straight face with not a hint of emotion which gave a direct message that any unwanted visitor would end up like a mosquito between their palm. Fighting the nervousness and anxiety he indicated one of the guards to notify about his presence. As per protocol the guard knocked on the door three times. Then turning the knob, he slipped in by opening it not fully but only enough for him to get in and as well as made sure that no one outside is getting a view. But before getting inside he slid his hand into his jacket and produced a gun. The man in black robe immediately recognized. It was the standard German-made pistol given to every guard in the organization. Fully loaded and ready to fire at any moment.

He himself had endeavoured lifting it once. His bodyguard was training him for the unanticipated. "Sir" said his bodyguard in the training room "Your line of work is very dangerous and like a fire attracting fly towards itself, you attract trouble to yourself" He gave a quick glance at his guard but soon turned it into a smile which encouraged the guard to continue. "So, I think you should learn to use one of these." He said as he lifted a pistol from the table full of weapons. All kind of weapons from different kinds hunting combat knifes to pistols and guns to most modern grenades and bombs were lined up on it. With a cracking sound the door opened again and a guard emerged from within bring the man in black robe back to reality. He quickly recognized the guard. He was the head of the security. An ex-marine. He was a man of less words but was very strict in his duty and made sure that not even a fly will flap without his knowledge and the guard who went in to announce his presence came after him. After retrieving his gun, the guard came near him and signalled him to go in.

"In a minute" Fr. John went back into his room and stood there for a second staring at the crucifix as he let thoughts take over him once again. He was still confused about his dream and there was this unexpected visitor. "this can't be a coincidence". He was not a person who believed in coincidences. 'Everything happens for a reason' his mentor has once said, 'be it the dream or reality. Everything has a reason, even the wind blows for a reason.'

"Father..." the sound of the watchmen calling brought Fr. John back to reality. Realising that he had spent more time than expected, he quickly wore the cassock and stormed out of the room grabbing his all-time rosary. "Mr. Aimol let's go" He began walking following the watchman who had come to escort him to the visitor. Fr. John was still troubled as they made their way through the small corridor.

Climbing down the stairs brought back few memories related to his mentor which unfortunately was related to the same subject. His mentor was sitting on one of these stairs and asked him to join. 'Kid… everything happens for a reason. Only a fool will resort to coincidence regarding the events which he can't interlink. Dreams are many a times messages. Messages which we need to elucidate.'

"This way father, he is waiting near the chapel" said the watchman pointing towards the left as they reached the corridor. He could sense that the watchman was angry. How could he not be? he thought. His sleep was punctuated by an unknown person and more to it, he was now spending time with a priest who slither into dream land after every step. "Did he say anything else?" asked Fr. John as he tried to silence his confused and troubled mind. "No Father. His only words were its very urgent."

In front of the chapel the watchman walked the length and breadth searching for the mysterious visitor. While Fr. John stood in front of the chapel admiring it. He wondered no matter how many times he appreciated its beauty he couldn't perceive contentment. It's constructed, its design, patters and figures made on its wall were all mesmerizing. The chapel along with the church and its compound were from the era when churches were designed and made by artist and not architects. 'Each wall has a story to tell' thought Fr. John. "Father, he is nowhere to be" before the watchman could finish his statement the mysterious visitor emerged from the chapel. As the chapel and the surrounding was scarcely lit no one could have noticed him in there.

"Fr. John" he called out his name with a smile on his face which failed to reach his eyes. "I need to talk to you…. ALONE" he said turning his eyes to the watchman who was confused how this man got into a locked chapel.

"How did you get in the chapel?" asked Fr. John as he also shared the watchman's confusion. He remembered well that the watchman had locked the church and chapel before handing over the keys to him.

"As I said Father, I need to talk to you alone and how I got in there is the least of your concern now" said the man as he walked leaving Fr. John and a bewildered watchman behind. He took a pause and said pointed towards the garden "I guess, that is a good place to talk"
