It was the day Mystic Realms was released and I was waiting in line all night to get the game. The game was selling out fast, I was lucky to get at least one of the twelve thousand hard-copies. Once I got home I ate something so I wouldn't be hungry later, and because I knew that I would play the game for hours. I waited until about one o' clock to log into the game. I read online somewhere that at one there would an opening ceremony and a tutorial for the official launch of the game.
Once I logged into my account I connected it to the headgear wirelessly. If the headgear is connected to the console it makes it to where you don't have to go through the process of making a new account. The loading screen popped up and it had me choose the language and create my avatar. To my surprise it didn't make my avatar the way I wanted it to be but instead it made my avatar look exactly the way I look in real life. Then right on cue the game master appeared out of thin air and that was the beginning of the opening ceremony.
It went by so quickly that before I knew, it was the end of the opening ceremony and the tutorial, and the official launch of the game. I ran through the town to get to the field, and as I was running I heard people saying "who is she?". I tried leveling up and I got at least five levels. I continued leveling up until I got to level fifteen. After that it had felt like I played for hours, I checked the clock and the had already played for five almost six hours.
I sat down to take a break and I couldn't help but think about why they were talking about me. Their words played back in my head "who is she?", "who is the mysterious woman?". I scrolled through the main menu trying to find the logout button but it wasn't there.
