Chapter 22 - Cold

"Uncle, let's go back to the manor" said Xiao Ming.

"Miss, you are so late today. I see it was raining so much and you were late, so I quickly went and buy blanket, plus the car warmer is on for quite some time so car is little warmer."

Seeing the real concern in his eye, Xiao Ming wanted to say something but her sneeze interrupted her.

"Miss, hurry! Why are you still outside?" said Uncle Jack as he is sitting in the car.

Xiao Ming just said a audible 'thank you' and went inside the car.

The car is lot warmer than she thought. She quickly wrapped the blanket around her body and asked for some tissues from Uncle Jack.

After reaching Xiao family's manor:

"Miss, we have reached." said Uncle Jack. Xiao Ming stepped out of the car and went inside the manor.

Uncle Jack followed her and quickly began to give instructions to the head maid, "Bring miss her lunch and some medicines for cold."

After ordering the maid, uncle quickly said to Xiao Ming, "Miss why don't you sit on the dining chair and have lunch while they fill your tub with hot water"

As remembering something, Uncle Jack immediately said, "Fill Miss tub with hot water too, (he took a deep breath and said)fast." a voice replied back "On it sir"

During all this process, Xiao Ming didn't said anything and just sit on the table with the same blanket wrapped around her.

After two minutes, a platter of fruits and vegetables plus a glass of lukewarm water is served.

As she began eating, just after three to four minutes, a piping hot porridge with medicines on the side was served.

After fifteen minutes, Xiao Ming have eaten everything plus three glasses of water.

Now she feel little energy in her body, she went for shower. The water is hot and Xiao Ming whole body quickly relaxed.

After twenty minutes, she is done with shower and pick her favorite pajamas from closet and wore them.

Then she locked the door and went in her bed to sleep because the medicines was finally affecting.

What Xiao Ming doesn't know that these whole process made someone envy her more and someone more worried about her.
