"They're burning holes into them. How nice of them to do that right in front of his girlfriend"
"Shut up!" Jaz laugh at her friend with the orange head and shrugs.
"Well, they could have Dame all for themselves" she adds, earning a tease from Yoona
"You were head over heels for Damien if Azzi didn't snatch you away"
That settles that, as if I needed to be the new version of Jaz.
"Don't say anything to him" she says "he knew, and he'll start teasing me till death"
"sure sure" I say.
"And Azzi won't take my side on this, he loves him more than me"
"Obviously" we say in chorus.
We continue talking about the guy Yoona is interested in, he works in the same gallery as Yoona and there's where the one sided love story started until the head of the school arrives for her welcome address. The head is an old lady with her gray-white hair tied in a neat knot above her head. She's graceful and looks kind but strict, suddenly reminds me of Professor McGonagall of the Harry Potter series.
Her gaze glides around, " Fellow teachers and students, Good Morning! Welcome to another exciting and wonderful year at Notre Dame International School. I'm happy to see you all after the long holiday, and I hope you've had a fruitful and an enjoyable summer. "
Apparently, speeches are one thing I'm not fond off, but I have to force myself to consider it this time.
"It is indeed a great scene to see all familiar faces gathered in the morning assembly, it makes me feel at home. and I'm even more grateful to see some new faces, our freshmen and some upper classmen."
A smattering round of applause and whistles from the upper class men surround the assembly hall. Yoona dodge my nudge my shoulder making me turn to her, he gestures something on my right and when I turn to see, its not something, it's Damien.
He claps and mouthed a word which I think is "welcome", I smiled as something inside of me flutters, and so he smiled back. I jerk away trying to hide the blush.
Yoona is saying something about the head. I cant seem to focus. His stare is taking every ounce of my focus. I struggle to comprehend everything around me, This is bad.
When I finally gathered my courage to look back at him, he's not staring at me at all, instead he is talking to someone.
Some girl.
Some pretty girl.
And he's smiling at her.
I looked away.
