"Desmony wake up!" Arie tugged on Desmony. "It's time for breakfast!" "Huh? Wake me up at 'lunch'." "Come on please? You didn't eat anything yesterday at dinner!" "Fine, if it makes you feel better I'll go and eat something." "Yay!"
When Desmony arrived the room seemed to fall silent whispering to each other about the newcomer. "I heard she defeated Nightmare!" "No way! He's in legendary tier! Even if she defeated him he has his pack mates!" "Well how do you explain the gigantic cut on his flank?" Feeling irritated Desmony shouted at all of them. "WILL YOU GUYS BE QUIET?! ALSO WHAT'S THIS DEAL WITH TIERS?!" "Our strength is placed into 4 different tiers, there's basic, epic, legendary, and heavenly tier, within the tiers are ranks, beginning, veteran, and advanced." Someone in the crowd responded. "Thank you." Desmony said as she and Arie went to the line of food. "Actual food! Oh this is going to taste so good!" Arie jumped excitedly. "What, did you eat the scraps before I came?" Desmony joked but seeing that Arie didn't respond Desmony was exasperated. "You know what? Don't answer that."
After Arie finished the mountain of food he took he looked at Desmony and asked. "So what did you get?" "I got a boar." "What?! How could you eat that little!" "Look, I only promised to eat, I never said how much." Hearing this Arie sighed. "Well since we're done eating maybe you can help me fight?" "You read my mind, lead the way." With that Arie led Desmony out into a long corridor then into a gigantic room with equipment in one half and completely empty. "Here's the training room!" "This is the training room?" Desmony asked pacing around the room checking everything. "Y-yes, I don't go here much because the stronger monsters will just beat me up." "I never asked that." Desmony replied. "Alright let's start, can you control anything?" "Actually yes... I can control water, but not as well as you can control fire of course." "Well controlling water's a start, what's your best?" Arie lifted his wing and a small ball of water formed. "This is my best." "Oh my god... that is pathetic, but if it's the best you can do we'll deal with it. Here, throw the water into the fire." Desmony ordered Arie as she made a small fire. Arie concentrated and sent the water ball into the fire, nothing happened except steam came out. "Well at least you can move it, make another ball but this time try imagining you're gathering water instead of just making it." With this idea Arie closed his eyes and concentrated, this time instead it was bigger. "Wow! How'd you know this'll make a bigger ball?" "That's not important, can you make the ball into another shape?" "No..." "*Sigh* Fine, that's all for today come back to me when you can successfully turn it into another shape. What's after this small break?" "I believe you meet your human." "Oh great, that's sooooooo good, I get to meet who bought me here." With that Desmony left and went to her quarter.
"Oh Tsunami~ I'm back!" In the distance Desmony saw Kace coming towards her with a gigantic bag. When he arrived he took out a fish from his gigantic bag and said. "I know you probably don't trust me or something but I wanted to give you this." The fish was silvery blue that looked delicious but Desmony just stayed put. A few moments of awkward silence befell them before Kace broke it by saying. "Alright that's fine, you don't want the fish. Now I'll tell you about what's going to happen in more detail. In three years you and two other monsters are going to fight my uncle's three monsters and whoever wins shall have their opinion respected, like if I win the jungle stays and you know what happens if my uncle wins. Um... I believe in three more days you'll be able to come to my house! It's really surprising how useful monsters can be!" Kace chuckled. "Uh... No offence." "..." "*Cough* Let's go to the training room I want to see how strong you are."
When they went in Kace took out a hose and attached it to a water tank, then turned to Desmony and said. "Hey Tsunami can you stand in front of this thing? When I start it it's gonna start shooting water and I want you to evaporate as much water as possible alright?" Fine. Desmony begrudgingly thought. When Kace flipped the switch on a large stream of water immediately started shooting out. Desmony closed her eyes and five jets of fire behind her spawned and stopped the water stream's path making steam upon contact. "Alright, now let's see how long you can hold this."
*3 hours later*
"Uh... you can try to push the fire to the hose if you want." Finally. Desmony thought. Instantly the fire jets conjoined into one and pushed back the water to the hose turning it into molten rubber in the span of about 5 seconds. "Oh wow, that is... quite the hot fire you can control, perfect, with this my uncle will definitely lose and then the jungle will be preserved!" Kace shouted with glee. "Ahem anyways next time I'll bring another monster to help translate between us. Let's go back."
After Kace went off Desmony spotted Arie in a corner with a crowd of small monsters near him. When Desmony went close enough to hear what's happening she was certainly surprised. "Mister Arie, how did you get Miss Desmony to protect you?" A small emerald green bird with red streaks around their eyes asked. "I don't know, she's certainly mysterious." "Even for you?" "Yes, even for me." "How though? She's always been with you ever since she arrived!" A small blue bear with yellow eyes asked. Oh great, Arie's surrounded by babies who are curious, better not let them know I'm here or else I'll get bombarded with questions. So Desmony shot Arie a warning shot. Arie, sensing this decided to respond with. "Well even though I spend a lot of time with her she never really discussed where she came from, and while she is pretty... apathetic on the outside you really get the feeling that she cares a lot." All the baby monsters just stared at him. "What are you trying to say?" Someone finally asked. "What I'm saying is that while she looks tough and mean on the outside she is really caring on the inside." "But why?" "So that she can protect the ones she loves from those who has ill intent towards them." Hearing this all the babies seemed to get inspired. "Wow! She does that to protect those she loves? How admirable! I want to be just like her!" Multiple said at the same time. Arie chuckled and said. "That's good, but don't forget to overdo it!" "Mhm!" "Run along now." With that the swarm of kids ran off to do something.
"Very impressive." Desmony remarked as she descended to Arie. "Uwah? " Arie jumped, a bit startled. "I said very impressive, you saw the warning shot I gave you." "Oh that? I didn't see it, I just had this feeling that you'll kill me if I said anything bad about you." "Hm... Anyways you're coming with me for more training." Desmony said as she grabbed Arie's neck and started going to the courtyard. "U-uwuh? Aren't we going to the training room?!" "No, if you're fighting you should use the environment as well." Hearing this Arie suddenly froze. "I'M FIGHTING YOU?!?!" "Relax, I won't use too much effort, I might not even need to use fire with how bad at fighting you are."
"Alright, give me your best now." At the courtyard Desmony placed Arie down and smacked Arie a bit with her wing. "Hey! Why'd you do that?" "To make you ruffed up a bit, now, come at me with all you got." Arie got into position and charged at Desmony, at least, that's what it seemed like to him, in reality the charge was only the speed of a crested blood lizard. "Tch." Desmony blocked the charge with her wings then whacked Arie in the side of his head. "Ow... Why'd you gotta hit so hard?" "Seriously? You thought I hitted hard? Looks like I need to up your defense too." "Eh???"
