Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

"Why were you . . ." Hiroyuki frowned at his own stupidity. He almost asked the boy why he was out in the streets. He should not pry into other people's business. Luckily, he stopped himself in time.

"What is it?" the boy asked him.

Hiroyuki shook his head before saying, "I was just thinking if you would spend the night under that street lamp, if I hadn't asked you to come home with me."

"I would have," Jiro softly whispered.

Hiroyuki nodded in acknowledgement. Then he changed the topic to tomorrow's weather, bringing relief to the both of them.

Following dinner, Hiroyuki opened his closet door and told Jiro to choose some clothes to change into after bathing. Then Hiroyuki turned on his computer to respond to a few emails. He heard the bathroom door close.

After some time passed by, he heard the bathroom door open again.

Emerging from the room, a very cute and docile-looking girl appeared from the bathroom. Jiro had on a pink t-shirt and pair of jean shorts.

"Jiro? Why are you wearing that?" Hiroyuki asked.

"They were the only clothes that fit," Jiro replied, as he looked over to the side. His face had turned a crimson color.

Hiroyuki inwardly thought, "I should have thrown my exgirlfriend's clothes out."

"Sorry, when I get my next paycheck, we'll get you some decent clothes," Hiroyuki explained.

Jiro shyly nodded.

Hiroyuki gulped and pretended he didn't feel the strange turmoil raging inside him. Although, he did not discriminate against homosexuals, but he never thought he could like another man. Maybe it was just the clothes, Hiroyuki coaxed himself.

Rolling out the futons, Hiroyuki was glad he had two. One was his and the other had formerly been used by his exgirlfriend. Thankfully, the futon had been aired out and the blanket and futon cover had been washed.

The two went to bed. In bed, Hiroyuki could hear the Jiro's quiet breathing. He wanted to ask the young boy if he was comfortable, but somehow, Hiroyuki felt shy about inquiring.

"I'm just a good host for asking," he told himself.

Still, it took him a long time to muster up the courage to ask. By the time he had mentally prepared himself, he heard the light sound of snoring, emitting from the person beside him.
