It was three in the morning. The sky was dark and the city was quiet. Everyone was asleep, except for a 17 year old girl who lived in a poor small apartment in the outskirts of Capitol, the capital city of Country M.
Yun Yilan threw her favorite orange shirt in her suitcase. She walked around her apartment and looked through it thoroughly once again. After making sure nothing was left behind, she zipped up the suitcase, jumped onto the bed and turned off the lights.
'This would be the last day I stay here,' Yun Yilan thought. She hugged the pillow to her chest, breathing in the scent of familiarity.
This had been her home for the last 4 months. Though it was small and old, it gave a her a sense of security and warmth.
Unlike the Yun family residence. For her, it was nothing but hell.
When she decided to run away from home. She found out about this place. With scarce money in hand, she had no choice but to rent the apartment and had stayed here ever since.
Her new job---being Qin Wei's personal caretaker and assistant---required her to move into his mansion.
Yun Yilan looked through the window to the indigo sky. The thought of leaving this place made her feel somewhat nostalgic.
But money was what she lacks, it was also what she needs.
Since the day she stepped out of the Yun residence, she had decided firmly to rely on her ownself. She began working day and night incessantly to earn money for a living. Yun Yilan had taken numerous jobs in many positions, cashier, receptionist, garbage collector and more. The employers loved how much dedication she had put in for the work.
No matter how Yun Yilan craved to work, she had always ended up being fired. The bosses would look at her apologetically, tell her she was not suitable for the job.
Yun Yilan didn't know how it happened.
So when one of her former employers contacted her to see if she was interested in being a caretaker and assistant for an ill mysterious businessman, she quickly accepted.
The monthly salary of this job could exessively cover her expenses for half a year.
Yun Yilan sent in her resume and was interviewed by Mu Junxi. Several days after that he called back to her to inform that she had passed the interview and needed to meet his master, the real employer.
The businessman would decide personally if he wanted her for the job.
Thinking upon this, Yun Yilan couldn't help but break out into a smile. She felt like floating in the air and flying through the rainbows.
She'll never lose this job again. She would earn a lot of money and pursue her dreams.
But Yun Yilan soon found out the next morning that the job was not easy.
As soon as she was brought to the mansion, she was given a large pile of documemts.
They were Qin Wei's personal information and preference.
Yun Yilan had to remember all of it.
Qin Wei was 25 years old.
She raised her eyebrow a little, 'he's this young? I thought he was at least 30."
His birthday was on 25th of June.
'It would be better if it was December 25th, you only need to spend money on one event for two celebrations.'
He liked black.
'Apparently, his office is all decorated in a dark tone.'
Yun Yilan laid down on the spacious bed in the bedroom that she had just recieved. Holding the documents in hand, she flipped through all of it, examined it thoroughly and tried to memorize it.
Very focused, she read every line of every page, and discovered that she could not remember anything!
There were a total of 448 pages!
How on earth could she remember it in 2 days...
Yun Yilan twitched her face, the king's firm voice ringing in her ears,
"Any mistakes that shouldn't happen, you will be fired."
Qin Wei's angelic face in her imagination now had two horns sticking out of it.
Maybe she was wrong.
He was a devil afterall.
Yun Yilan sighed to herself and continued reading.

Three days had passed.
Yun Yilan woke up an hour earlier than usual to dress up and make herself look presentable.
Though she was not beautiful, she washed herself very carefully and wore the best outfit she had brought. She also applied makeup, something she normally didn't do. Last night, she practiced smiling in the shower for hours. Yun Yilan wanted to do anything she could to impress her employer.
Yun Yilan was waiting for Qin Wei to wake up in front of his bedroom to assist him. Her blood was pumping with excitement and anticipation.
To her surprise, his bedroom was located just beside hers.
Yun Yilan waited. After a while, she glanced at her watch.
It was stated in the document very clearly that Qin Wei always woke up at 6 am and would come down to breakfast at 7 am. His timetable was very precise.
It was 7.14 am right now.
Yun Yilan hesitated whether she should call out for him. She stared at the door with more anticipation than before.
She felt like standing at a crossroad, looking at signs. One sign labeled 'To Hell' and the other one labeled 'Got Eaten.'
Suddenly, the large wooden door creaked open slowly. A pair of brown eyes lit up instantly and gaze at the door.
