"Get back here you stupid whore!" I glanced behind me, seeing kyle trying to get back up, so I ran as fast as I could, I had no idea where we had been all this time, It didn't matter the moment I had a chance to escape I had too. So I ran, I ran as fast as I could. I found a little village not too far from where we were at. He'd definitely look for me here I have to eat and get out. I spotted a lady walking, I have no time to be picky.
"Can you help me please" I ran up to her crying, She looked at me with concern in her bright green eye's. "Are you alright"? I shook my head no, Stepping closer to her, "You will not scream, You will follow me" She nodded repeating my words back to me. I have never actually used compulsion before so I am thankful it worked. We made our way to the back of the building.
I will not kill her, Just some blood so I can get further away. "This might hurt and I am sorry" Taking a deep breath, I bit down on her neck, Closing my eye's the high taking over, it tastes so good. I haven't had enough blood in about five years. Kyle barely feeds me enough to keep me alive. I am amazed I escaped. He definitely let his guard down.
I can feel her getting weaker in my arms, I must stop. I pull back looking at her as she falls limp in my arms. What have i done? "No, no, no" I whisper panicking raising in me. She can not be dead. I have never killed someone. I check her pulse not feeling one with shaking hands I drop her lifeless body, hearing a hard thud, I take off running fear and grief overwhelming me. Did she have a family? I should have just found an animal.

I ran for a few hours making it to a bigger city, I smiled we didn't get far from home. So how have they not found me in five years? Tear's fell down my face. They gave up. I sat down under a tree, Watching people shopping with there friends or family. I can't be mad about that, I didn't want them to look for me forever. Five years is a long time. I decide to stop feeling sorry for my self.
"Its time to go home" I take off towards the last and only place I have ever truly felt at home. Tears of joy fall down my face. "It looks the same," I notice a black Jeep in the driveway. That is new. I head towards the door, taking a deep breath. You only waited five years for this. I knocked on the door.
JAKES POV
"No everyone please stay seated I'll get the door" I get up rolling my eyes lazy ass people. I wish I hadn't answered the door. I have to be seeing things. "Violet" I breathed out. Wide-eyed. The door is pulled from my grip, Nick standing next to me now everyone else behind us. All wearing shocked expressions. How is she here?! I want to run.. I should be happy to see her but this has to be a trick.
"Hi" She whispers looking a bit taken back by our reactions, Her eye's are focusing on something behind us. I glance back noticing Evie standing beside me her arm around my waist. Well, this is awkward. "How is this possible" Katie whispers. "You are supposed to be dead, we had a funeral" tears running down her face. "Dead"? Violet asks looking confused. Her gaze falls to the ground. My mind was racing a million miles an hour. Violet is alive.
"So that is what he meant when he said I was forgotten" She shakes her head. "I am definitely not dead" Nick lunges at her hugging her, Taking her by surprise. Her eyes widen looking completely startled. "Sorry, I just.. You are alive" He says now smiling at violet. She smiles back hugging him. "I didn't think id ever see you again" We make our way into the living room.
"The place looks the same, Everyone still living here"? Violet asks. We all glance at each other, She seems to pick up on our hesitation. "I can put two and two together you know.. I know I was pretty innocent, I didn't always pick up on social cues but I am not 18-year-old violet anymore.." She looks at Evie "You must be Jakes girlfriend" She has a big smile on her face, meeting her eyes. I suddenly feel guilty. She is alive and we believed kyle just because somehow the body he dropped at our doorstep looked like violets.
******FLASHBACK*******
We had been looking for violet for about six months now. We had learned a lot during that time werewolves existed and so did hunters. They hunt our kind from what we have been told but the current king has gone mad with power and is killing anyone who is supernatural or helps us, knows about us or think's we should be allowed to live. We are having to be extra careful hunting and looking for vi.
We met a vampier named Evelyn, She was beautiful and a force to be wreckedend with. She had long blonde hair, bright green eyes, I tried hard to ignore my attraction to her but the more time that passed not finding violet that harder it became, She and I went on a date and I overwhelmed with guilt. She's only been missing for six months.. So I told Evelyn it was too soon we had to just be friends.
"I am sorry for leading you on... I thought I was ready" She smiled a small smile. "It is okay after I lost my Fred it took me a long time to move on, She could still be out there and until you know, It wouldn't feel right" I hugged her tightly, I pulled away to glance at her, Just as we heard Katie scream.
We took off running to the front door. what I saw stopped me in my tracks, I dropped to my knees. No, no, no. Tears fall fast, It felt like I was being kicked in the gut. Katie was rocking a dead violet in her arms, sobbing hard. Emily, nick, and Derek beside her. I didn't deserve her. I didn't deserve anyone, While she was being tortured and murdered I was feeling sorry for my self because I felt lonely. I wanted to shut it off, I wanted to die but looking at her lying there, I knew I owed it to her to keep living my life. We had a fight coming. These hunters were not going to go down easily, she wouldn't want innocent people dying. So for her, I will fight against him.
