In my own opinion, I had a pretty okay childhood, even though some may say it had been rough.
I never knew my father, raised by my grandmother, had a mother who was always at work even though I'd much rather spend some time with her and I have a stepfather who is pretty amazing, I thank God for him.
I always preferred cars than dolls, was the popular kid throughout my school years. I must admit high school was quite the adventure but now it's time to find out what this new ocean has in store for a tiny fish like me.
"thank God it's Friday", Jeff said as we made our way to a chemistry class.
" that's one thing I'm willing to agree with you on", I said.
"I heard there is going to be a bash tonight by the pool",
"ow so that's why you are so happy it's a Friday, you just can't keep it in your pants can you pretty boy?".
"what can I say? I'm too gorgeous to keep me to myself, have to spread the love".
I must admit, he is very good looking, but of course I'd never tell him that, we don't want him dying of ego overflow now, do we?!
"pick you up at 9pm, okay chicka?",
"Jeff stop calling me that, plus I don't want to go to no damn party, get it?".
"I'm not taking no for an answer Kukie, plus your little crush will be there. Now before you ask how I know that, I heard him and his friends talk about it."
"for a guy, you sure are manipulative but okay, see you at 9".
" now that's my girl, I promise you'll have fun", "yeah yeah whatever".
One thing I hate more than parties, is homework, but if I'm going to go out and look for a hangover, I must sort out my work first.
As soon as I got to my room, I ate some cereal(it's in the afternoon, I know, so what?), then I did my math, chemistry and a bit of physics, well actually the reason I didn't finish is because the last two questions were difficult.
By the time I was done it was already seven thirty. I took a shower, put on some jeans and a crop top, some cute heels and of course NO MAKE-UP.I am the natural type, make-up just isn't my thing.
Melinda, my roommate, is never here, so I pretty much live alone. "hey roommie", hah! Speak of the devil,
"hey Mel, was just thinking about you",
"nothing vulgar I hope, I mean I'm hot and all but tongues aren't my thing",
" lord have mercy on your soul", I said, laughing. That's the thing with her, she has no filter, which is pretty awesome, its nice to know exactly what someone is thinking.
"so where are you going dressed like that?",
"there is a party by the pool, me and Jeff are going",
"ow yeah I heard about that", and at that moment Jeff entered, completely ignoring the fact that he has to knock.
"don't you know of this thing we humans do called knocking?",
"I know pumpkin, but it just ain't my thing, plus it's not like you have anything I've never seen before".
"I am not entertaining that topic, let's go".
"have fun kids, don't do anything I wouldn't do", Mel said. "If you put it like that, then I guess we are free to do anything", I responded as we went out the door.
We get to the place, 15 minutes later, and it is packed.
"by the way, you look gorgeous Kay", people who know me call me Kay instead of Kukie, "thanks Jeff".
"I'll go get us some drinks, in the meantime, do whatever it is that you girls do at parties"
" you mean give a stranger a lap dance?",
" heaven no! If you do that then you are officially off of my friends list".
" well maybe I will then".
