"Tell me everything now. Try Me!"
Vince was shocked with what he heard from Yve. But, at least, she seemed to have an idea, especially when she mentioned about the three members of Team Alpha who were always around her.
"You're right. The people around you aren't just ordinary bodyguards and a secretary. They are actually part of my exclusive elite team. There are 5 of them and they are called the Team Alpha."
"Hmm… How about you and Edward?"
"Edward is also involved in this and has the code name, Secondo."
"An Italian word for Second-in-Command. Does it mean, your code name is Primo?"
"Yes." Vince answered as he studies the expression flashing on Yve's face.
"So, what do you guys do? Why do you need an elite team? Certainly it's not for Gray Group."
"...." He just nodded and the waves splashing were the only sound in the area.
"Do you want me to take a guess?" Yve looked at Vince. She had an idea but still she wanted to give the opportunity to Vince.
"....."
"Italian code names for both the leader and the second-in-command. Italy used to be famous for the underworld groups, Mafia."
"...."
"Do you belong to one of the groups in the underworld."
"Hmm…."
"Care to tell me the name?"
"Are you sure you want to know?" Vince cupped Yve's face with his hands.
"Of course! I want to know all the things about you."
"Even the bad things?"
"Yes, even the bad things. Besides, I know that you wouldn't do anything without thorough investigation."
The honesty and sincerity that Vince saw in Yve's eyes and heard from her voice made the tears fall down from his eyes. Yve smiled as she wiped those tears.
"Is that what you're worried about?"
"...."
"Because you're the leader of a mafia group and that you did some bad things, I would stay away from you?"
"...."
Yve knelt in front of him so that her height will be on the same level as his and kissed his forehead. She smiled and leaned their foreheads before saying,
"You don't have to worry about me leaving you. Those people you hurt as part of mafia deserved it."
"..."
Yve placed her hand on the left side of Vince's chest and said,
"Deep down your heart, I'm sure that you're still the Vincent Gray I love."
Vince placed his hand on top of Yve's hand on his chest while the other was on Yve's back. He pulled her closer to him and his lips were against her cheek, brushing it lightly - and still that light touch sent shivers through her nerves, shivers that made her whole body tremble.
"If you want me to stop, tell me now," he whispered.
When Yve said nothing and just continued to look at him, Vince, brushed his mouth against the hollow of her temple.
"Or now."
Letting go of Yve's hand still on his chest, he traced the line of her cheekbone.
"Or now."
Finally, his lips were against hers.
"Or…."
But Yve had reached up and pulled him deeper to her and the rest of his words were lost against her mouth. He kissed her gently, carefully, but it wasn't the gentleness she wanted, not now, not after all this time and certainly not after the things they learned about each other.
She put her hands on his chest and pushed him lightly. Without looking at him, she said,
"Can't you just get the idea that I don't want you to stop?"
"I just love you so much that I can't contain it anymore."
She knotted her fists in his shirt, pulling him harder against her this time. She claimed his lips and as Vince finally realized all the things that Yve just said, he groaned softly, low in his throat. He took charge and deepened the kiss as his arms circled her, gathering her against him, and placed her gently on the sand, tangled together, still kissing.
